yesterday i was looking to buy a gun.
i found a used sks for $200 and i was wondering if its a good deal or not


what do you all think i should buy

Yes this would be a very good deal.If it will even fire its awesome deal.If im not mistaken these guns were used by the foriegn legion many years ago.I do remember in the late 80's a ton of these guns were imported to the usa.Back then you could pick one up for less than 100 bucks,but as soon as people figured out they could go full auto they got expensive and scarce.


Finding synthetic stocks and other accessories should not be a problem.So you can really pimp this gun out. :D

but once the gun is fully auto then it is consider a weapon of distruction and you can get a fine and or throw in jail at your states / police and countries disgreasion

I've never heard of that Zero. Of course this is Alabama and not Canada. Maybe we are more used to shooting guns than Frenchies.

I doubt it...France's first started losing in like the 1700s, except for some minor wars...they beat the British in the 100 years war, and the Holy Roman Empire + allies in the 30 years war. Basically after Napoleon they started losing it.

its not full auto, but has a "sniper" stock and a big scope

so i guess i have to go find out if it shoots tomarrow.

I wouldn't by an SKS simply because I'd rather have an American/German rifle.

They're nice guns if you get a good one, but do your research. Find out what country it's from and do all sorts of research. For $300-$500, you can probably get an AK47, and I'd much rather have one of those.

It depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to hunt, then buy a good hunting rifle. If you just want to blast shit for fun, that's a good gun. They can make effective hunting rifles, but it depends on what kind of sks it is. If you're looking at home defense, buy a shotgun. Shotguns own.

That doesn't matter. I don't go to war with other countries(I could hold my own with some though :P ). I don't even go to war against the hoodlims down here. Some of us just like doing stuff for fun, and yes there are some people who has grenade launchers. How often do you hear of people going out killing sprees with them though? Gman you hit this one on the button. sks are cool but not as good an ak47 and when i bought my sks for 125.00 NEW mine was from china. shotgun is the best defense at home but if in a apartment i would go with a week load so you dont kill you nieghbor through the drywall. By the way sks are not hard to get nor are they rare can get at any gun show around. Post what kind it is and all tell how good yours is. GG. :wink:

just get a brand new ak 47 with bayonette for 400$ the ak sucks at long range but it will tear shit up from 100 yards in and a 30 round full metal jacket spits out like butter...friggin awsome....we cut trees down with em!....just make sure you get the semi/full..gotta have the fully auto..and the ammo is quite cheap to...or you could get the 9 mm version of the mp5 it is accurate and lethal totally owns ass
