I would've been a linguist. I passed all the tests. The ASVAB and the DLAB, but then I decided not too go when I was practically done with processing, like 2 weeks before I would've gone to basic.

I was in the Aviation Electronics repair shop. They kept me locked-up in a container repairing components on anti-submarine warfare equipment. It owned. When I was released from the container at the end of each day, I would get drunk and go totally insane. (That's a bad thing because they also make you a strong healthy F*CKER, and drunken strong healthy F*CKERS running around town are just trouble waiting to happen.)

I would be in the first line of defense....I might as well take out as many as I can before anyone else has to do it.

I am in the infantry. It is probaly one of the hardest jobs phsically. Mentally too, cause you really have have to kill people, and you see some really messed up things...I wont even go there cause its pretty gross. The funny thing is you would picture a bunch of mean bastards, and we are when we have to be, but for the most parts we are like a bunch of kids in a grown mans body playing army. I could tell you so many stories. This site is what happened my third day there and set the tone for my whole year we went over 180 days of sustained combat.

i'd be an officer in the USMC, i was training with them in college and my best friend was already graduated and was an officer. But he came down with leukemia a few months in and has since been honorably discharged. I'm not graduating until after my 27th birthday so now I'm too old. Just as well since he's not in anymore and my ex-gf works with the injured troops coming back from Iraq and I know that none of them think it was worth it I've lost all motivation to join.
Just to let you know she a Psy.D candidate working at the Tampa VA and has been working with troops (i call them 'kids') who have become parapalegic (spelling), quadrapelgic (spelling), have lost limbs, and/or have mental problems such as PTSD and "other" problems which are speculated to be attributed to chemical warfare.
