COMING SOON!!! n00bfest.com v2.0
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOYS AND GIRLS!!
If any of you have ever noticed, we are currently using "n00bfest.com v1.2a by Gman".
Any time that a change has been made ot the site, Gman has maintained a revision history by chaging from 1.0 to 1.1, 1.1a to 1.1b, etc.
The time has come for a MAKE-OVER.
Work is beginning on n00bfest.com version 2.0 !
The new site will possibly have Flash and non-Flash versions available. The plan is to start completely over from scratch with new graphics, new pages, new everything. Don't worry, though.... the databases for the forums and player stats should be able to be salvaged and reused.
I am in the process of making a storyboard layout for the new site.
There will also be some changes to the way things are handled. The content for the publicly available areas will need to be publicly acceptable content (or at least comparable to PG-13 content). Once you're into a members-only forum, of course the rules will be quite relaxed (no rules at all?!)
I want to make sure that, as a community, we're able to attract advertisers and sponsors without causing them to be worried about our content or behavior. On the surface, we want to show our visitors we're professional, hi tech, contemporary, and (in a general way) politically correct. Once they're members, only then can they be allowed to see the areas of the site that contain the dirty laundry and slimy underbelly of n00bfest pleasures and pains.
For those who are fortunate enough to be Pirate Crew, you may be given advance screenshots or samples as the new site develops. For the rest of you, it'll probably be a few months before it's finished and published.
In the meantime, we're looking to assemble a work-crew. So far, the website development team consists of CorpseHumper, Gman, and Genocide. I would like to see some additional people involved and assisting with the page editing, artwork, animations, etc. If you're interested, send me an email (
Corpse@n00bfest.com ) and let me know what your skills are and how you would like to help. Be advised that all work done will be purely voluntary, and the items will be considered "donations" to n00bfest. As such, all artwork, html, animations, and any other content will become the sole property of n00bfest.com and no longer the property of the individual who created it. I don't want to end-up with copyright or property issues later down the road. Those who are accepted into the Web Development team will also be given Pirate Crew access because of their participation.
