What do/did you guys think of it? I'm tempted, simply because I love watching "What-If" scenarioes played out on the big-screen.

I haven't heard of that movie. But I'll definately watch it.

F*CKING horse shit. It's so easy to sit back and say the south wanted slaves and the north came to the resue. The problem is, it's horse shit. The south wanted the financial rape to stop. Slavery was the only way to keep the plantations running and provide all that agricutural product to the north and still afford the taxes and price controls they put on them. Slavery wasn't used in the south because rednecks just loved to beat on AFRICAN AMERICANS, it was a financial necessity to remain in business and competitive.

This movie is the F/911 of the South. It makes a mockery of the South, and it's wrong. Slavery would have been abolished, even if (or dare I say *especially* if) the South had won.

Actually the only reason the north wanted the war is because they were afraid the south had to much political power. They were pissed so they just used the slavery thing, which was a good excuse to come over and stop our economy, political power, and do it in a way that made themselves look like hero's. Most people see a confederate flag and say "RACIST" that is bullshit, that flag means pride bitches. But most people can't see that, so i guess you have to go on "Offending" everyone just because they can't see past there own nose.

Some guys I've known (online) for a LONG time (like, probably 10 years) always joked around about owning and selling AFRICAN AMERICANS and one guy registered "AFRICAN AMERICANS.com" (and the asshole has since lost it) but anyway, I think at one point they actually did put up an auction on ebay and so that home page brought back a lot of hilarious F*CKING memories.. haha

But, like corpse and everyone has said before I agree that it seems historically inaccurate (and grossly exaggerated -- but I guess, that's what any good movie does to some extent) so I doubt I'll (pay to) see it.
