New guy here. Just started playing CZ. Used to run a Halo DS before discovering CZ(and this forum). Been gaming since the mid-80's (on CDC mainframes). I'm not a great player by any stretch of the imagination. But I'm glad to be here, and I hope I don't screw up too bad.

Actually I ran a HALO dedicated server(Sorry about getting your hopes up). I have 2 servers here, one for my website(running Fedora Core 3), and one for gaming(Windows eXPloitable). I work on computers for a living. Started working on mainframes back in the 80's (if you ever saw the first Die Hard movie, that computer room is an actual computer room that I was the project manager). Jumped to the PC when 286's were the flavor of the day(and Falcon 2 was the shit). Pretty much a hardware geek.

and you did... :D Though I have been monkeying around with my server. I need to unlearn all the Halo crap, and learn how to play CZ. I have it now that I can play a BOT at difficulty 3 until someone shows up. My son (predjr) also jumps on my server so I can pwn him (though he is getting better)as well. I did put n00bfest in his favorites so you might be seeing him on from time to time on the n00bbox.

Yup saw you last night. Was actually doing good for a change until some asshat showed up with a 1059 ping and started lagging the box. What really pissed me off last night was the asshats from my own team who as I was crossing the bridge in Aztec (with the "streetsweeper" clearing the way for them) kept putting bullets into my back, and flashing/fragging me. By the time I got to the other side of the bridge all it took was a T with a peashooter to take me out. Maybe it's the soldier in me (served with the 1/9 Air Cav), but if these clowns did that to me during an exercise there would have been plenty of blanket parties afterwards(and if you did serve you'd know what one of those were). Went from a 5-1 to a 7-15.. Damm I suck...

LoL! I feel your pain Pred. Sometimes it doesn't pay to rush. There are certain places on certain maps that I try to stay away from when rushing. Like the tunnels in Dust!! I can't begin to count how many times I've ran my ass off to get there, own a couple at the entrance, hold a couple off, and then BOOM - naded by some F*CK who likes to throw granades in random directions hoping for a luck kill, but instead kills a teammate! God I love this game!! :)

Well there was that one T camping behind the box to the left after you cross the bridge. I had his number. I was just waiting for him to pop up so I could rearrange his face and some asshat TM skullfucks me with a Scout. Are peeps really that retarded? Does anyone have a clue about squad tactics? Granted this is only a game, but at least have some control of that itchy trigger finger. And what is it with the assholes who as soon as you spawn starts shooting?? Accidental FF is one thing. Being a dumbfuck deserves a permaban.

Heh.. Yeah I saw GMan breaking the banstick last night on a few ppl. Especially for that one kid who wouldn't stfu. What was the deal last night with the T's planting the bomb as soon as the round started on Chateau?? Well hopefully in the next week or so I'm getting a couple of days off from work. Definitely will be getting on the server and work on not getting pwned as much as I do.

They weren't getting the bomb planted, the server was lagging something fierce. What you were hearing was what happened the prior round.

Aaah ok.. I'd have to say that is one long F*CKING lag! Had fun last night doing some ownage with the shotgun.. I'm getting better(as long as my TM's don't frag/flash me). Love the xm1014! Pure ownage in close quaters. Now only if I could find someone smart enough to hang behind me with a ranged weapon for those long ranged shots, and not shoot me in the back of the head.

Buy a deagle or usp. You can snipe with them if you know what you're doing.
