Everyone take time out today to remember what happened four years ago now and all that jazz. Dont want to make this too sappy...but i know i'll remember it. For me...i was on the USS Constellation with my dad (its called Tiger Cruise...when family members can come onboard with you for the final week of a deployment and see what you do on the ship). We just pulled out from Pearl Harbor and it was like 530 in the morning, I hear people talking about jets flying into the towers. I thought I was still dreaming...so i got up, got dressed and went up to my shop. Everyone was sitting in there in shock. Needless to say, the entire ship didnt know what was going to happen for the next day or two....thinking we were going to go back out a few times...actually TURNED around once, i think. it was bad. I know my dad will never forget where HE was during all of this.

I don't ever watch TV, so I had no idea until I got to work.
My boss let anyone that needed to make a long distance call to new york do it.
And sent home workers with kids so that they can pick them up from school.

I just worked that day.

I was at work in Ohio, watching it all unfold on the television. Couldn't believe what was happening.

I was in school watching it in class. Then my mom came and took me out of school for the day. I didn't really understand too much. But I figured it out during the day.

I was in school, and I just got back from lunch. he substitute told us all how she predicted and knew that is was terrorists..but yeah, I didnt understand what really happened at the time.

I remember seeing the plane hit the tower and thinking thats not real but it was.

that's exactly what we were all thinking. "this is NOT real" the first thing i thought of when i got up to my shop was "damn...this movie looks pretty realisitc" yeah....it was pretty realistic. so much hate...and that F*CKER is still out there somewhere plotting against us still.

I was in Spanish class when I found out about it. Some douche bag prick next to me made a comment about how F*CKING funny it was and the old lady Spanish teacher handed him his ass. It was a sad, yet hilarious moment (because that douche got owned).

I was in a meeting when it happened. It was a Tuesday morning. When I came out of the meeting, people were confused because it was so terrible they didn't know if they were just supposed to go back to work or what.... it was very confusing. It felt unnatural to just start working while all this was going on.

I was in art class in highschool. Some mexican kid was like "someone flew a plane into the world trade center!"

I laughed and called him a dumbass and told him that it was impossible. I guess I was wrong.

Also, I was in New York in June of 2001 and stood on top of the WTC and made actually F*CKING said, "It would be pretty funny if a plane came across and nailed these buildings."

And now I beat myself up daily.

i was in my bed in foley alabama and my roomate came in to check his stocks on my pc. when he opened the door i woke up and he said "Man there are some F*CKERS flying planes into the world trade centers" and i was like "your so F*CKING full of shit" and went back to sleep. i got up later around noon and turned on the tv and the networks were replaying the planes going into the building. at that point i was like OMFG this is F*CKING nuts and i stayed glued to the tv for 3 weeks str8 hell i think i lost my job because i wouldnt go to work lol. but yeah very sad day for this wonderful country. GOD BLESS THE FAMILIES THAT ARE STILL BROKEN TODAY BECAUSE OF THE TRAGEDY. May God be with them on this day of sorrow.

i was in civics class....my 2nd or 3rd block i belive......and our teacher told us and we watched it for the rest of class

i was just about to go to school when i saw teh second plane hit i was like wtf then i went to school and watched the news in all of my classes and then around 3rd or 4th period i think our power shut off...people went crazy they were so sure that it was a terrorist attack some where near our school or somthing that shut off all the power it was funny seeing people totaly freak out...later we found out that it was a seagul that flew into the power station and got into a generator or somthing and got fryed.

if you guys want to know somthing freaky listen to one of the system of the down songs on there CD taht came out just before sept 11 and one of their songs talk about planes flying into buildings :shock:

its not System of a Down with that song. its Machinehead's "Crashing Around You". The album was supposed to come out on the 11th...but because of that song, they pushed it back a couple weeks. It's crazy. Listen to that song...a couple lines of it are something like "you see your world come crashing around you" insane shit.

no system of a down had a song that talked about airplanes crashing into buildings but it came out months before then ill find the song and let you know what one it is

It was in the afternoon somone said a plane just flew into the world trade center. They turned on the TV in the training room and soon there after we saw the second one fly into the other world trade center.

Terrible time for us, we were placed on lock down and couldn't leave to see our families. We didn't get to go home for two days.

I'll never forget it thats for sure.

Yeah...i wasnt at home...but my wife was saying that NAS Whidey Island was on complete lock-down too. said there was a line at the gate two miles long of people just stuck. if you were on base...you were fucked. but for us on the ship, they cancelled all the entertainment stuff and we just sat and watched the news and wondered what we were going to be doing. it was tough....i was hoping that this thread wouldn't have gotten off-track (and i'm kinda to blame too), since this IS about the roughest time in US history...but oh well. atleast noone's flaming anything or anyone.
