I'm having a hard time grappling with this concept
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was relabeled as an Adult game because......of a sex scene.
A sex scene.
Things you won't find in GTA: cop killing, F*CKING prostitutes, slugging nugz, drug use, drug use off a prostitutes ass, wreckless driving, killing innocents, et cetra.
Things you will find in GTA: flowers, rainbows, sunshine, kittens, puppies, bunnies, sex scenes.
Why would such a family friendly game like GTA:SA released with a sex scene? It's as if they're trying to morally deprave our youth.
Oh wait, They are. I forgot that GTA isn't a family friendly game that shouldn't be allowed to even be sold to the parents of children. F*CK, it shouldn't even be sold at all. No one needs to consume this bullshit. I worked at GameStop and every person we sold the game to was warned of all the violent and sexual content in the game and how it wouldn't be suitable for their kids and guess what the 99.9% response was? "Oh, I don't care." That's F*CKING child abuse. It's F*CKING child abuse to be that god damn stupid and have a child. I'm so pissed off right now I can't even think straight.
And I'll be damned if I don't think of how proud I am that Hillary (Cellulite Bitch) Clinton allocated my tax money to pay for a horse shit investigation on this.

hmmmm
allow me to quote myself off another fourm where we had a discussion along these lines
Quote:
thats F*CKING bullshit.
im not a big fan of the gta series....but its the god damed censorship and them blaming video games on everything.
you know whos fault it it? its the fucked up kids(the few bad apples).... some people would do whats in the game without even playing it. if they play the game its just a convient scapegoat. simple as that

its not really the game im mad at its the stupid parents who let there kids play the game its all up to the parents to watch there children but anything you see in grand theft auto you would prob see it on tv or in a movie the kid just need to realize that thats a game and not real life and its up to the parents to explane that to them

Exactly Doughboy.
Violent games shouldn't be a scapegoat for violent behavior, but 7 years olds are extremely impressionable and when they are allowed to play things like GTA, regardless of anything, it's going to shape their personality in even the slightest way. I secretly snuck in violent games to my house when I was around 14 and I know from experience that I have violent urges that are not totally or even majorally influenced by the games, but I'll catch my self thinking "God it would rule to bust out an ak and blow this assholes head off." But, my parents taught me to discern the difference between shooting you fucks in the face in CZ and in real life and I don't have to act on it.
So, Like I said, when these kinds of games are encouraged by parents to their kids, it's setting the stage for a warped personality because basically the parents are encouraging their kids to take part in such endeavors. When my parents caught me with those games, my dad didn't hesitate to throw my ass over his knee and beat the shit out of my ass (figuratively) like I was a child. I broke the rules and consequences happen.
My parents have never had a problem with my playing CS. It's mainly because as my dad says "constructive violence. The whole premise of the game is fighting terrorism. And even if you play as a terrorist it's still teaching you the value of teamwork and sticking to your beliefs." I don't get it, but whatever.
Not Problem: GTA:SA
Problem: Parental Apathy

some people are more impressionable then others but i for one never took violent games into reality... i've been playing them as long as i can remember, i've been swearing since i was 6 yrs old, and i've watched rated R movies and skin-n-max since 7 or 8...
i always blame the parents... call me a F*CK face who doesnt know about life and work and shit but god dammit if these F*CKING kids stop having kids and then neglecting them then this wouldnt be such a big deal... so gay, i totally blame conservatism on this one...

I was under the impression that conservatives (being traditional) were the ones who gave a shit about raising their kids. Maybe I'm...no, I'm not.

My parents were pretty conservative, I didn't even have a television until age 10.
Last I checked, every person I know who raised their kids well is a conservative, and almost every bad parent I know has been a liberal.

Oh, Eyeless also pointed out to me that not all conservatives are Republican. I forgot that there are also the evil facist/dictator types, like Eyeless.
The GOOD conservatives are Republican.

The TV raised me.
Double your pleasure, double your fun.
Showbiz Pizza where a kid can be a kid!
Mommy wow! I'm a big kid now!
Scrubbing bubbles!!!
I don't watch Television anymore, and I feel very relaxed!
And about the whole video game stuff, it's becoming like Television....how can you supervise your kids viewing?
There are alot of single parent families in the U.S.
Anyone who did have the attention of there parents growing up, is very lucky.
Trust me, if the kid grows up to be a killer....it didn't take much.
There's a fine line.
