 Your iPhone is tracking you.If you are using any version of iOS4.x, you might want to give this a read. It's not extremely alarming, but it is pretty useful information. Multiple applications use geofencing. It's odd why Apple would be storing this information through backups, but I'm not too worried, personally.

Re: Your iPhone is tracking you. At least they could've encrypted the information. The good thing is that it doesn't seem like the data is transmitted anywhere. It's just there on your phone and your backup PC(s) for anyone to see, who has access to them.

Re: Your iPhone is tracking you. reborn, read the link i posted. it says locations are transmitted to apple/google multiple times per hour. what you are referring to is the iphone file that stores ALL locations, which you are correct about as far as anyone can tell.
