 Bottled water
does anyone else taste the difference in bottled water? To me arrowhead taste like plastic, dasani makes me more thirsty, and aquafina tastes the best. I was curious if anyone else does...

 Re: Bottled water
Yeah, the better the water tastes, the less it goes through to become pure and the more trace minerals it contains up to a certain concentration per mineral. I really enjoy Fiji water as well as Poland Spring, but the closer to the source and the least chemical or other treatment it goes through, the closer to what water ought to taste like it will be.

 Re: Bottled water
I think Dasani has salt in it, and all bottled waters are not friends with mr. polar bear

 Re: Bottled water
Also, Dasani and Aquafina are just bottled tap water that has been through reverse osmosis to remove particulate matter.

 Re: Bottled water
I don't like most tap water unless it's from an artesian well or a non-chemicalized source. You guys realize that half the shit they put in water is both unnecessary and poisonous, right? The water system in this country and indeed the world needs to be redesigned to prevent all of the stupid shit that happens, and aside from the poisons intentionally introduced into the tap water, any time someone flushes a pill down the toilet it ends up in our water system and there are no such filters to remove those chemicals so we end up drinking a ridiculous C*CK of trace chemicals with no idea as to what they might do to us.

 Re: Bottled water
I use a Britta filter for tap water and I rarely buy bottled water. When I do, I like Evian the best.

 Re: Bottled water
I live on a mountain whose glacier run-off serves as my community's water source. My tap water is delicious and free of just about any pollutant.
Only shitty thing is, it's mineral-heavy so my toilets & tubs stain reeeeally quick. And that shit dont come off without a pumice stick.

Well the Kansas City Area gets their tap water from underground reserves and honestly it's good water. Umm, maybe it's different on the coasts? The thing is though that even if we do get that C*CK of trace chemicals it's spread out over such a large amount of water that it really isn't too big of an issue

 Re: Bottled water
I'm talking about sewage treatment plants which then in turn re-release the water. It's essentially the place where water goes before it gets to you. That is where they add shit like Fluoride and in some cases Lithium. Have you ever seen what fluoride poisoning looks like? Not to mention it's a cumulative substance that essentially builds up in the body over the course of time and then causes damage nice and slow except in cases of high concentration where the damage is immediate. Even the container it comes in says it isn't safe. http://www.lewrockwell.com/miller/miller17.html http://www.fluoridation.com/teeth.htmhttp://www.fluoridation.com/images/teeth2.jpg

 Re: Bottled water
The fluoride fear spam is FUD by and large. Same type of stuff as people railing against radiated foods (totally safe), genmod crops (indians started it), and all other FUD. Without fluoridated water our teeth would look far worse than that and we wouldnt' be getting away with 1 dentist visit every other (or 5) years. It's the same type of FUD that caused parents to stop giving their kids vaccinations because they were sure it was causing autism (it wasnt, 3 or 4 groups wanted to get rich on class action lawsuits and started/furthered the myth). That FUD campaign killed thousands of kids through measles & mumps and other bugs the modern world had eradicated. Even here in the US. Beware the FUD (from non-biased, non-FUD, scientific sources) http://www.webmd.com/oral-health/guide/ ... -treatmenthttp://kidshealth.org/parent/growth/fee ... water.html

 Re: Bottled water
although here's a nice study from one of kwang's links: http://www.jpands.org/vol10no2/kauffman.pdfthe author mentions that anti-fluoridation groups were killing the real message/beneficial policy changes through their FUD.

So you're saying that there is no such thing as fluoride poisoning from introducing too much fluoride into the water system? I had fluoride poisoning as a kid and lost half my teeth. Pretty nasty stuff.
