meh, its basically the same as the higher-end CoolerMasters. I have a Coolermaster HAF932 and its basically a F*CKING AC unit, its so fanned-out.

positive pressure my ass. ive delt with modular cases like that before with casemoding. they are wicked awesome for liquid cooling, but its a dust nightmare to clean.

went to get the wife a new case a couple of weeks ago, played with one of these while there.. felt cheap to me.. i think id break it.. we came home with the smaller HAF instead

Am I queer for like NZXT cases?

How do you like yours, I'm still months before going desktop but it doesn't hurt to look.

It's spacious.

And has a lot of fans. I like it. (It's also quiet as hell.)

cases like this one will seem flimsy, but the frame is actualy (or should be) a heavier metal than typicaly used. this way you dont crack and bend it when moving it around. the reason casemodders LOVE cases like this, are because its hella easy to run signature wire through the entire thing. i need to run an AC wire to some led lights on the volcano, no prob, just pop off a slot and i dont lose that much support surface area.

running it as a simple case in and of itself is a bad idea though. even if you have a turbine fan blowing through the case you are going to get dust and dust buildup. on top of that its noisy as hell (if one fan rattles, they are all going to rattle). its a great case to work with but not stand alone like the ad claims. if you want something that gets good cooling and isnt a pain in the ass to clean, get one with a small intake and 1-2 large out fans. if you're REALLY worried about cooling (because you overclock like a whore on PCP), get liquid and save yourself the hassel all together.

it's solid aluminum/steel, no(very little) plastic and it's simple and sleek, plenty of room, slide-out mobo tray, slide-out hdd cage. I love it.

Well im rocking a dell from 04 with a pentium 4 ht, 1gig of ram, radeon 9800 and a 120 gig hard drive still going strong though. but when i get back im going to have some extra funds and i can actually get a new computer to get on that Bf3. But who knows what will be out in 2012 im just trying to get some ideas going on the matter.

LOL@SoupSandwich. That's almost the same as what I was using for a couple years. Still a Dell now, but a newer Celeron model, 2 gigs of ram and a 300gb hard drive. Got an 8500GT second-hand and now I can play CSS, but barely.

My old case (which I loved but the radiator got too damaged), I got from my sister:




most of that equipment lasted a good few years. It's all gone now, sadly.
