I've been getting emails telling me I'm an African prince and I have a few billion dollars in my bank account. Are you telling me those are fake too??

 Re: An email I got
Reminds me of back when I was playing GW pretty hardcore, a Chinese gold farmer propositioned me to be his american paypal contact, and to send him the money AFTER I receive payments, something about $500 per month limit or whatever for international accounts, which I would be able to bypass and I would western union him the money after I withdraw it.
So basically I would be the middle man: people would pay me for the money, I'd get the in game money from him and give it to the client and the real money to the farmer, I guess escrow type.
Gave me probably $300 worth of in game money as a trust type thing. That was the closest I ever got to actually thinking that shit is legit.. I mean really, this guy knew what he was talking about, researched everything, and actually presented a real problem for Chinese gold farmers.
At first I thought that he would just be funneling money from hacked accounts to me, but then again in game I would be giving market value of that money to different people. I figured he could actually own all those accounts and keep remaking character names as fake clients to throw me off, but F*CK me if i didn't seriously think about it for a whole weekend.
Nail in the coffin? The person I was talking to was the one in charge, and (s)he identified themselves as female.

 Re: An email I got
I had a play with one of these a few months ago. I got the chap to go as far as sending me the first "cheque" in a fedex envelope. then printed all the emails and then took them and the unoppened envelope to the authorities. I also contacted the company he "represented" and forwarded all the emails to them also just so they were aware of the scam.

 Re: An email I got
I got the Taliban e-mail scam/virus a few months ago. I thought it was pretty funny how frank the message was...like there was any doubt it as a scam. It made news headlines, but I can't find any of them now.

Lol that kind of shit makes me laugh everytime. You really need to be a complete retard to send all your personal information, and then whine because someone stole you a shitload of money and you wonder why. It reminds me of the 5 free games that I missed on Steam a couple of months ago... damn it!
