 My fellow americans...
Here is some canadian culture for you.. this.. is what we refer to as a whiteout in canadia.... and some of the easterners have probably seen worse... Lulz.. 14 hours ago I was driving home from partying and it was clear as ever, slight wind.. 8 hours later it started up, and its still going strong... regular highway speed - 80 mph highway speed in this weather 40 mph with emergency flashers on all the way Also, yes I was taking pictures and driving...

 Re: My fellow americans...
That's absolutely ridiculous. I thought it was bad seeing during the snow a couple weeks ago, but that's nothing compared this.

 Re: My fellow americans...
Yeah Snuggle, happens sometimes during winter here too, that shit is F*CKING worse during the night if you don't have fog lights! What's even worse is when the snow sticks to the road and you don't see the lines anymore.
I remember last winter, was driving home from work (60km, not too far), there was this huge F*CKING winter storm, it was pitch-dark outside. Then I get on the highway and it gets even F*CKING worse, windy, snow sticks on the road and starts to pile there, it felt like I was constantly drifting the whole way over there. Some cars not having a 4wd were getting stuck on the road, and some people left their car there, so some nice people were driving their snowmobile on the highway to pick them up. I had (and still do) an Impreza so I almost didn't have any problem to go back home. I woke up in the morning, couldn't find my car anymore, hidden under the snow... pretty sure I got some pictures somewhere on my comp..
Where do you even live Snug? Ontario? NB? NS? It looks like the snow storm we get over here in Quebec...

 Re: My fellow americans...
1.5 hours away from where i am theres some of the best powder in the world for snowboarding. I think its a fair price to pay for a minor pu$$y storm.. On the rating scale this one is like the 5th best whiteout we've had in hte last 3 years..lol winner goes to a storm in '09. It was like 4ºC all day, and then while watching UFC, it went from 4 to -15 with heavy snowfall and winds causing complete whiteout with 1 foot of snow on the highway. visibility was literally 2 feet.
Lecoq: Calgary. We get this stuff once a season usually.

 Re: My fellow americans...
I should of taken some video of my trip to my Grandparent's house for Christmas. It was similar to your pictures just with snow drifts that cleared the hood of my truck. Hammer down in 4 wheel drive and hold on to that steering wheel. I seen some video from some truckers coming through Sarnia on the 402 when it got shut down just before Christmas, that was some amazing weather. Definitely the worse I have ever seen.

Milwaukee WIS for me. We get dick heaps of snow because of lake effect snow from lake michigan. I even remember this one HOMOSEXUAL snow storm on May 10th a couple years back.

 Re: My fellow americans...
I've driven through worse but I do drive for a living so my chances are better at seeing it. I would take that snow any day over freezing rain, that's the F*CKING worst thing to drive in.

Over the years there have been some MAJOR pileups because of poor visibility due to fog in Cali...the biggest I heard of was over 100 cars in a chain reaction collision near Fresno. Compared to what happens out there that whiteout is a clear sunny day.

Compared to what happens out there that whiteout is a clear sunny day. a) pileups have already happened here. probably first hour. b) 5 bucks if you come up and drive in this weather at anywhere near normal speeds.

Snuggle, I was driving around an evo ten last year in the snow to see what all the hype was about. It was a blast.
