 Amnesia: Dark Descent
It's on sale with steam for $6.80 (a steal) and even less if you own any of the penumbra games. Basically this game is survival-horror and you're told to not play to win, but play as if you're the character in the story. Honestly, it's a lot of fun and definitely worth the cheap price!

 Re: Amnesia: Dark Descent
I bought it a few weeks ago when it was cheaper, and played up to the water part. I almost shat myself, cried like a girl, and haven't played since. That game is FREAKY. I'll just leave you with this.

The fact that if you really see a monster much, you'll be dead within two hits is really interesting. Then again, if you just bum rush through the game and don't care about your life, it kind of ruins it. IMMERSE YOURSELF! Got this for $7 a few days ago and it's a refreshing change. Not really scary (but to be fair, nothing scares me) but it's pretty good.

Good for some cheap thrills, but that was done a lot better a long time ago by the 'Alone in the Dark' series :)
