Well I'm installing RTR, SW and Viet but nah we could just stick with 1942, that could be an awesome time

But if we meet tonight to play, someone with a good internet speed should host the server. That means someone else than me should host it since mine sucks

I'm down, i re-installed it last weekend to DF with some old friends. Let me know when and i'll be there.

Just make sure you all have the last released update since EA has always been a big cunt with the updates

For the people who have to install i'de be ready for some troublshooting.

1) Make sure you install updates 1.6, 1.61 and 1.61b.

2) Once you get all those working it might get a little harder. Punkbuster had an update in 07. They reccomend going to http://box25.evenbalance.com/downloader/download.php and using that program to manually update punkbuster. Problem is, BF1942 is the only BF game that program no longer supports. The file PB has a problem with is pnkbstra.exe, so i'm trying to find a solution. Wich is what i've been doing on and off for a week. But everything I find is old and revolves back around to evenbalance. I found one solution, and money if you game actually works you could save us all. I found one that said getting that file from a friend and, removing everything in the pb folder. Then adding that will fix it. But I am not sure.

If anyone finds a solution let me know. Cuz I love that game, but I re-installed it last week and got fucked over. Now I can't play.

EDIT: Found the fix! So I finally found the fix. When you guys install, it will let you join a server. Play for maybe 30 seconds to 5 Minutes. Then Punkbuster might kick you. If it does. Download http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe and run it. It will go through a list of shit. Takes about 30 seconds to a minutes. Once you've ran it go ahead and play :). I ran it right after I originally wrote this message then played for about 10-15 minutes to make sure it worked.

I got BFBC2, and BF1942 is just way better since it's the oldschool shit, just like CSS with CS1.6, Super Mario Sunshine with Mario World, and Striptetris with Tetris... oh wait.

And Cani, I remember having read that shit some years ago, we should def. try this cuz I can't get my BF42 to work, it just shows the logo, then crashes to desktop.
