We have 2 weeks for regular firearm season here in Michigan. I hunt in an area that is shotgun only. My meat wand is a H&R Ultra Slug Hunter in a laminated thumb hole stock spitting out 12 gauge Winchester Partician Golds accurately out 150-200 yards. My fiancée hunts also, she has an H&R Ultra Slug Hunter in 20 gauge with a laminated stock shooting the same ammo. We both hunt on my parent's farm in the thumb of Michigan on a plot of about 450 ish acres, only 45 acres is wooded. I took an 8 point on the second day of the season at about 120 yards and my fiancée took a 7 point at about 125 yards 2 days later in the same spot. Her deer was actually standing about 5 yards behind were mine was when we harvested them. I bought 4 tags this year with the intent to fill them all. Like an idiot I passed on a bunch of does the first few days thinking I would see them all week. Still have 3 tags, 2 week muzzleloader season and a late 2 week anterless season to look forward to.

I have video on both of our kill shots. Once I have some spare time I will throw it together and put it up on the youtube for all to see.

We also have other family members hunting in the same area. My cousin took an 8 point with a 17 1/2" spread, and a 6 point. A 3 point was hit by a car. All deer were taken withing 4 days of each other.

I have 3 tags left. I like to get 4 good sized bastards in the freezer each year. I'll most likely wait until our late doe season that runs through Christmas to take a couple of mammas out of the herd.

When is cow hunting season, I want a to get me a big cow.

that has happened on my grandfathers beef farm thats an expensive hunting trip though.and grand dad gets very angry.they can weigh as much as a ton.
