 My future Build
Hey guys as you know My laptop recently Died. In about a month or so my Birthday is coming and i want to build a new system. I just want some input from you guys on the buuild i have selected. Its a pretty Low-End build but i do need it to run the following games at at least 60 fps at modest resolutions such as 1440x900 Bad company 2 Mw2 Cod4 Halo2 PC Bioshock/Bioshock 2 Starcraft 2 Css My budget im thinking will be around 550 THIS INCLUDES THE MONITOR =( CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819103846. Phenomx2 3.2Ghz Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813130290 Ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820134785 (only taking this cuz its cheap can upgrade to 4gb later on) HardDrive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6822148395 500Gb 7200Rpm (Negotiable part) Video Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814150467. radeon Hd 5670(i have heard some good things about this card in terms of price-performance) The case and PSU will probably come down to how much money I have at the time. Keep in mind i want a good 550W atleast and no Junk no name psu's they usually die. I did not put a dvd drive/card reader as these fluctuate in price but you can generally get away with any brand(going with the cheapest one that particular week) Finally if you guys have ever ordered PC parts from newegg let me know how it went and how the support is if you needed it. THANKS again guys

Ok, I will tell you the same as I told Joe. Go to Best Buy and ask what they have on "Clearance" or "Open Box". They have this overwhelming desire to get that stuff out of there inventory in order to get shipments of new systems so they will offer some crazy deals to get rid of some good systems for cheap. Remember that the prices on those systems are nagotiable, so haggle your ass off and get as much free shit as possible they can throw in. I got a quad core system 2 years ago for $600 when they were going for a grand and they through in a video card and a service plan for free.

 Re: My future Build
eBay the video card or be on the hunt for one. The one that you are looking at has a lifetime on it. Buy one on eBay and make sure it has a lifetime also, you will get it for cheaper since you are really bargain hunting and it won't matter if it works or not because of the warranty(as long as they didn't take a hammer to it). The $10-15 for shipping it to them and 2 weeks to save $50+ depending on what you get will probably be worth it if it is broken. You might be able to get something a little better for the same price if you wanted to try that option too.

 Re: My future Build
Also clorox instead of getting the dual core, since you wont be overclocking much with it check out AMD's new processors. They just cmae out with six, a few of them athlons. Id say get another core or two instead of having a dual core, trust me youd rather have a quad core athlon ii x4 over a phenom ii x2. Dropping the L3 cache for two more cores would pay out longer. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103886&cm_re=athlon_ii_x3-_-19-103-886-_-Product <---- same price but tricore(there is a jump from dual to tri when it comes to gaming) and its the same clocks. So your not losing much besides the l3 cache Any more questions just ask EDIT:: I forgot about this article but I definitely recommend looking at it. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-pc-build-a-pc-overclock,2739.html They have a build that works for ur budget and gives u a frame of what to look at. Also like i said before look at overclock.net in their for sale section. you will get WAY better deals especially on a GPU. Dont impulse buy if u look hard enough youll make a great computer at a greater price.
