Ok, so this girl I know who just so happens to own Tigerdirect.com asked me to fix her PowerPC MAC G4 for her...just needs a fresh install of OS X 10.4 and the drivers to go with it once the new copy is installed.
I'm downloading the OS X now, but I don't know shit about MAC's...will I burn this as an .iso or a .dmg?
Also, will the drivers for the hardware install automatically or do I have to do it from a disc?
Last but definitely not least, how the F*CK do I open the CD-Rom/DVD-Rom drives?

Whats the extension of the OS's file you downloaded?

It's an .iso file, I just need to make it burnable with a PC to make work on a MAC...I havnt done alot of research on the particular situation regarding the OS but I finally got the drive open..I'm using a Microsoft KB on it so it obviously doesn't have the "Media Eject" button so I just held down F12...that did the trick.

As far as I know the drivers install themselves similar to Windows 7 installing drivers itself. Also an .iso should work because Mac's read images as well. Its really not that hard of an install either its just like installing any other operating system tbh dude any specific problems your having besides the disk opening??

All you have to do is mount the cd rom with the image file, or you can use the disk utility tool to do it as well.

.iso has nothing to do with what actually ends up on the disk. .iso is a container format to tell cd burning software how to write the file to the disk. You don't burn the iso file to the disk. Just let a program, like imgburn take care of it.
