I'm having this gay ass problem too... I even turned off the steam cloud in steam and in game... What the hell do I have to do to get these changes to stick? It's in my autoexec and my config.cfg... D;

Wow, so I finally messed around with this a bit and got my lerp to be white/yellow like you all said and it's SO much better. Thanks guys.

you guys should start forcing interp to at least under .05 because prior to the orange box update almost everyones was under .03 unless they changed their rates to some gay value.
Also its amazing how much better the reg on n00b members is compared to the rest of the server.

Actually, you do realize that no matter what you USED to change your interp to, there was still a 100ms difference between peeker and stationary person on the other side. So even the lowest interp before is now default and gets lowered with the commands.

updated top post with a steam forums post that looked pretty darned good. it's got pre-sets so lazy F*CKERS won't have to tweak.

you can change the interp ratio how you like it, the autoex wasnt working so i just made it into a bind

If your autoexec isn't working maybe it's becuase it isn't saved as an autoexec.cfg, but as autoexec.cfg.txt. The default save (assuming you used notepad) is as a .txt file. and if you didn't change it to "other files" autoexec.cfg is merely it's name.

i have been having the same problem with my autoexec, and yes it's a .cfg not .txt. i just tried copying it into another folder, so we'll see. if it still doesn't work, i will use a bind. thanks sandy.

and what does interp does for you.

when lerp is white, its good, when its yellow, its not good, when its orange (or red, im not sure which) its bad.

im not sure what interp does, but some1 else here will be able to. also, i think there is a link in the original post to a page which explains lerp. there is also a steam forum post about lerp which should be posted somewhere in this forum or topic, ill try to find it when i get a chance.


::EDIT:: @purple, the autoexec.cfg file is supposed to be in the cfg folder in ur cstrike folder. try setting it to read only, i havent tried it, but it might help.
