 Get your hacker engines readyIt is now legal to Root/Jailbreak/Unlock your phones without fear!!!! You can also backup DVD's and PC games without fear either!!! Thanks to the new revision to the Digital Copyright Millennium Act!!! IDK bout u guys but this is awesome news for all people with rooted android phones (me) or jailbroken iPhones!

People may now legally jailbreak their iPhones and root their Android phones without fear that a corporation will rain down upon them. People may now legally unlock their cell phones. (These first three are mostly the result of lobbying from the Electronic Frontier Foundation.) People may now circumvent the copy protection of PC and video games for investigative reasons. This should be a great thing for PC gamers sick of dealing with the DRM of the games they legally purchased. People may now get past software that's protected by an outdated hardware dongle. But the question is now whether Apple and other companies will open their software's security doors so people can access the framework for development work, or will they continue to add bootloaders to their OS's to keep people from doing it. If they remove the bootloaders, this could be a big thing for all cell phone OS's in regards to improvement, otherwise... it will still be a giant, unnecessary pain in the ass (at least for me, since I'm an iPhone guy). |
