Post Help on Building/Upgrading computers
I want to build a computer, but I know pretty much nothing. I understand a bit about 32bit vs 64bit, that a computer needs processer, mother board, etc.

What I really want to know is, when building a computer, what do I want to look for? ( make it stupi-fiyed, I don't know much)

edit: ty tazz, I completely forgot about google.

Plus wire management, fans, thermal paste (I always wipe off stock and use my own), cathode lights if you want...there's so many little things that you can do to personalize your case and hardware...I'm big on the modding. yeah I'm sure alot of people have my case, but not.

A few things I have learned through the years.

1) Good case has lots of room for expansion ie. hard drive bays(mine has 5), atleast 2 ROM bays(multiple burners etc..) and room for fans.

2) Don't chimp on the motherboard, the better it is the longer between upgrades!

3) Go big on the powersupply so you don't have to worry about it later when you upgrade something (ie. Vid Cards).

4) If you are not going to buy the fast RAM buy lots of the cheaper stuff. 4gigs of the fast stuff is still better then 6gigs of the slower stuff.

5) Cost saving tip! Know what you play and buy your vid card accordingly! Don't buy the newest Nvidia 480 card when a cheaper 260 will do the job.

6) Personal thing I do is have the operating system on a seperate harddrive then my games and data. Makes it easier to reformat and not lose anything important and in case of hard drive failures.
