your post just told me you know nothing about American politics, or what the tea party movement is about. If you understood what our country was founded on, you would understand why they went to such extremes to prove a point. Obama and his ideals pose a serious threat to our way of life. we owe money in trillions (with a F*CKING T), relations with our allies have never been worse, and on top of all that both countries we share borders with will not quit their bitching an somehow blame us for their problems.

Relations with our allies have been better in the last year than they were in the past 8, not to mention a lot of anti-Americanism isn't political based but social based which is kin.

In the global community, you can blame anyone for anything because well, its a global community because we're all interlocked its all a cluster F*CK. Like we could be blamed for the drug wars in Mexico for our lack of border security and our thirst for pot and coke.

And really..what is our way of life? and what makes it so good?

High, that ad is not making a point it's Fear Mongering! You should look at my outsiders view of that as a wakeup call, that ad was way over the line and to the extreme. Teabaggers disagree with socialism that's ok, but educate people as to why, don't try and make people ignorant and fearful of something that is not a bad thing. Yes your country was built on a different system, but your system was built on freedom as a basic principal. Your system should be free to change with it's people for the better if society as a whole agree's. This type of fear mongering takes your system huge steps backwards and not what your founding fathers meant for it to become. Now I know most the n00b's here are very educated but in my dealings with family and friends who live in the states they will openly admit most americans don't have a clue as to what Socialism is. I must be ignorant to it, Tell me how our relationship with our allies has gotten better.. Especially with the Jews and Latin American countries. I was under the impression they didn't like us much because we aparently ♥ Muslims and don't want illegal immigrants committing violent crimes (murder, rape) in our country.

Our way if life is capitalism. It's what makes us better than the rest. It's what gives us the largest middle class in the world. People want to call it greed, I call it prosperity. It's the idea that, with enough drive, anyone can become wealthy. What used to be the American dream. The only thing stopping you is yourself. It's also great because it fuels industry. If there wasn't a materialistic want for things, industry would die.

As for industry, what industry besides the shit we can't export do we have, I think it says a lot when I go to Mills Fleet Farm (Farm surplus store, also a proud American store) and I pick up a patriotic shirt with the constitution and a eagle on it and I look at the tag and it says "Made in China" on it...What kind of shit is that?

FYI, the billboard is unrepresentative of the national Tea Party. It's an inflammatory piece by a very small group of extremists in bumfuck iowa who identify with the tea party, not necessarily vice versa.

It's the prob any organized group with many people has-- minority subgroups form and gravitate to the extreme points of view.
