I'm here in Germany, you'd be surprised in the amount of German flags on cars and stuff it's insane!

I went out to get some groceries shortly after the game...all you saw were people with hands outside their cars with German flags and them honking their horns, everyone is in German Soccer jerseys.

Dang, the two matches I wanted to watch I missed :( Brazil vs Holland, and Ghana vs Uruguay.

So close, I have to say that it'll be Netherlands against Germany in the finals, and a good match. Getting 4 goals in 3 games this World Cup is pretty good.

So im gonna go with Germany wining it all now that Brazil and Argentina is outta there

who has played horribly with the amount of talent they have. They cant F*CKING score at all. Germanys defense has played strong and I feel this will carry over.

That whole goal for spain started with the bad free kick the ref gave spain. The german midfielder (idk who since it was a while ago) played the ball but was called for fouling the spanish forward, who flopped like the rest of them, AFTER HE GOT THE BALL. The refs have been doing this all tournament. They play the man and not the ball causing horrid things to happen. Its happened so many times already where the ref makes a bad call and leads to a scoring chance. Im not blaming the ref as germany shouldve scored but come the F*CK on...


Also ref thanks for not rewarding a penalty on the obvious tripping call in the box by puyol (In the first half not the one right outside the box)....thanks alot.

I think ref did a better job than most - he had zero tolerance for flopping, but you're right he did miss that flop by Villa - however, Schweisteiger's drop in the box when Puyol tackled him was not a foul at all (correctly no called), the German MF left his back foot stuck in the ground - a common trick - but falling forward the way he did - did not help his cause.

The goal was scored off of a great corner, and even better header by Puyol - that was an incredible header - and could only be scored by a man wiht grit such as Puyol.

Great game, sorry for Germany, I was rooting for them, but there were no glaring no-calls like some of the others - enjoyable game. Looking forward to the final, maybe Torress will score when it matters.

Aye I don't really blame the ref as much as I blame Germany, they seemed like they were scared or some shit, and they tried so hard to be F*CKING as fancy as Spain with their passes. Half the passes they made the person receiving look like he didn't know he was going to get the ball till the last second when it almost goes by him. I was this close to punching my TV though when Spain did a player change in the supplemental time....cause they've done that before and it's a queer F*CKING move.

I'm disappointed that Germany lost to Spain... hopefully Holland will win it!

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. People make fun of the game and say its slow...thats why. People can strike from F*CKING anywhere in this game and you have to do anything in your power to not allow that. I miss playing and shooting like this (not as perfect as that). Used to practice for hours in the 30-35 yard range trying to hit it perfectly and dip it under the bar. Its truly hard to do but when it hits your foot in that sweet spot...its amazing. I wish I didnt have this bum left knee or id be in a Dundee United jersey right now : (.

Holland will win. This team plays as one and puts the team first. Theres no Christianos trying to do everything themselves with a tear under their eye. They pass well and move into space without hesitation. Germany was like this and it was sick to watch. They did it a couple times in the Spain game. The germans would constantly break it down into 3-2s sucking in 2 spanish players while the 3rd german player would streak into the open space created by the defender coming to challenge. Spain would come up the field flailing and hoping to dear god any of their stupid little prissy moves would get past the german players.

Indo, I didnt bet on the game other then the pool I was in. Ive been a German fan since I was 5 years old and started watching European International and Domestic football. It just sucks watching them bow out in the semis and shit. Its always soooooo close when they lose. I REALLY wanted Jurgen Klinsmann to win in 06 as Im a huge fan of der Kaiser (him not Franz, whos also incredible). I felt this years team was better then that one and was hoping for so much out of them. Oh well shit happens. I always have the happiness in my heart from when I saw the Argentine team stand in disbelief as their team got CRUSHED UNTER DAS BOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well said man - I've been a fan, but not as long as you. I'm very impressed with their coach and for once, I hope the politics are done for the German coach position - he's the man.

Btw, my favorite German player is none other than Oliver Bierhoff - simply put, a goal poacher. Less nimble than Klinsmann, but incredibly light.

Holland do indeed look solid, I enjoy their style - and something I will see in the match is the play of Arjen Robben. Robben is lightning quick, but dances a bit too much - baiting a lot of fouls against him (see Brazil game), but one can only think that is strategy - the man falls down very easily.

If Robben has a bad game, I think Holland will as well. However, Dirk Kuyt and Snjeider will bail out the side. I think Spain is strong, but my vote goes to the Dutch.

Bierhoff was an animal in the box. his ability at directing headers is something any player should strive to achieve. Oli Kahn was my favorite for so long on the german team. He was so F*CKING huge and such a beast in net. For about 6 years I was a Die hard Bayern Munich fan when he was in net. What a monster.

Jaochim Loew is a wonderful coach. Very confident in his players and system. There is still that hard hitting form Klinsmann started with his Euro/American strategy he brought in 06. The Politics suck for the German federation but then again of course it is. Beckenbaur rules them with an Iron fist and demands excellence out of everyone involved in the team. He blasted Klinsmann for a while till he realised how well the team was doing under him. I am glad its like this though. Der Kaiser is a very smart boss to have when hes not being so outlandish. He actually, for a bit a few years back, thought about pulling Bayern Munich out of the Bundesliga and placing them into Serie A in Italy. He felt There was no team with any chance of competing with the Munich side and taking their Titles from them.


Arjen will play strong and im eager to see how he does. I dont feel Spains defense is strong enough. Yes I said the same about Germany against them but im serious. Their wings are weak and sometimes get blown out. Spain has no real scoring either. Everyone keeps forgetting this fact. Yes David Villa is scoring but Spain cannot get by on 1-0 wins. GO HOLLAND!!!!
