Post Pet peeves
Anyone have some odd ones? Mine are pretty normal, I'm sure.

Driving:
Turning without a turn signal.
Changing lanes without a turn signal.
People driving faster than five-seven miles over the speed limit.
People driving slower than three miles over the speed limit.
Cars with license plates that have handicap symbols in them (usually breaks peeve above this.)
Chevrolet Monte Carlos.

Grammar (typing):
Incorrect capitalization doesn't peeve me as much, but lack of correct punctuation is pretty annoying.
Not properly spacing after a period. (Not spacing at all in Luff's case)
Creating your own line breaks. (wtf Loke, stop that :p)
Using who/whom -- can never remember the way to properly decide which one to use.

Grammar (spoken):
Yeah, I seen that the other day. -- Grr.
You got a dollar? -- No, I do not 'got' a dollar.
She was real nice. -- The most annoying.. use 'really', damn it.

CSS:
Shotguns and p90s -- Ridiculously easy to use and way too powerful, in my opinion.
People who call de_nuke/train/dust2/inferno bad and like cs_*.

School:
I need like eight classes and of the six I can take, three are at the same time.
Textbook prices.
Prerequisites.

I'll try and think of some more. (I may have already moved outside of the 'peeve' area and just more things that annoy me.)

My number one peeve is getting killed by Tucker in CS because it happens so damn often and most of the time I have no freaking idea where the little bastard was when he shot me.

and, admittedly, i drive at asshole speeds, so anyone who has the audacity, the gall to drive under the speed limit (given ideal road conditions), i just want to rip their heart out with my bare hands. i have ZERO tolerance for that shit. and i don't tailgate either. that's just being a dick.

when my boss throws some project at me that i know nothing about, and that he was already halfway through anyway, and he literally tells me "run with it." *gnashes teeth just thinking about it*

When i make a box of mac-n-cheese, the pasta is all done and, because my dumb ass didn't check before hand, we're out of either milk(and 1/2&1/2), or butter, or both.

when a woodpecker starts pecking on my house at like 6 in the F*CKING morning. (that's where my mossberg 12ga. comes in handy)

yeah, not really pet peeves, more like things that make me go FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...

Hell yes. My ex, who waxed fancy at every chance possible, ALWAYS used "whom". It's like she said "F*CK, nobody knows the rules for it, so I may as well just sound fancy". I remember how her cheeks would puff out when she said it. RAAAAAAGE. So glad I broke it off. Super model looks, but mis-using/over-using whom is out of line.

Quote:
Not properly spacing after a period.

I was a typography nerd so I knew long ago that with digital typesetting you used a single space after all phrase-ending punctuation. My biology professor/mentor was raised in the era of the typewriter, and was also an insufferable know-it-all. So I got docked for not double spacing after punctuation on my papers. We argued ad nauseum on this, and I finally showed him Bringhurst or one of his similarly typographical-giant peers as my source.

Prerequisites.

Take these as more guidelines than rules. Speak/write with the professor and be prepared to demonstrate some level of conceptual understanding of the subject matter. I've never been denied into a class with "soft" (non computer enforced) prerequisites just through the act of having that conversation with the prof.

My peeves:
Rudeness to the help
Unkindness to the downtrodden
Under tippers
People who still think that splitting a bill 6 ways in a decent restaurant is OK (see rudeness to the help)
Religious people who judge rather than admonish or teach
People who dislike Mr. Rogers

Post Re: Pet peeves
I hate when you go to a restaurant or a bathroom and they cram so many paper towels into the dispenser that you can't even pull the F*CKERS out. Drives me insane. When I find it I like to leave all the little shreds of paper that came about form me trying to get a full sheet out.

I hate when driving and the road goes from 2 lanes to one. Traffic is already backed up and the lane that ends has all these turds speeding up it to get in front of the line. I don't let that happen while in my truck. I ride through both lanes blocking whichever one ends.

Although I speed often I know when and when not to. There are times when traffic is heavy that its just better to go with the flow, even if its 10 under the posted. Dicks that don't follow this are the ones who cause all the jams.

I hate it when someone puts a dish in the sink with food on it. Rinse the F*CKER off, its not hard.

I hate when someone is selling something and they truly believe that item is worth 30% more than it actually is and you can't tell them otherwise.

I hate having to poop in the shower. I make every attempt in the morning to shit before getting in but sometimes you get halfway through a shower and yer guts start to curdle. WTF

I forgot some of mine, but here are a few:

not following proper Grammar Rules.
Stupid People
Being rude/unkind/inconsiderate
People that discriminate/stereotype.
WHEN PEOPLE HIT ENTER AFTER TWO LINES OF TEXT IN A FORUM, UGH. WHAT HAPPEND TO STRUCTURED PARAGRAPHS?

Edit: (for pet peeves I originally forgot)

When people chew with their mouth open/talk with food in their mouth(to the point I can see it)
People that chew gum REALLY loudly.
People that can't type. (Like, watching someone type who's only using one or two fingers.)

When people SPIT on the sidewalk or somewhere you have to walk. F*CKING gross, I understand that there are times when you have too but do it in a garbage can or someplace people won't step in it or have to see it.

People who do not get the concept that they do not live in there old country and they have to change to our standards not the other way around. I hate when people use the excuse it's a cultural thing. Wake the F*CK up, you are not there anymore so stop trying to make the free country you moved too like the shit hole you ran away from.

People who don't have an opinion! I have no problem deciding for people who live like F*CKING sheep and just follow, just stop F*CKING complaining when you don't like the decision made for you. Maybe if you stopped being a lazy F*CK and made you own choice shit might be better for yourself.

People who don't VOTE! There is no explanation as to why you shouldn't or couldn't, your just a lazy F*CKING cunt! You can come up with a million excuses but thats all they are EXCUSES! Stop being a fucktard and take some pride in your society.

The biggest pet peeve I have is PEOPLE WHO TALK IN THE THEATER! I didn't pay good money to hear your shitty play by play of the F*CKING movie! Here's a quarter, go buy yourself some F*CKING manners before I kick your teeth in and let you choke on my knee cap while I try to kick your colon from the inside!

Post Re: Pet peeves
Here's a greatest-hits list of my pet peeves...
Driving
People who don't understand the concept of slow and fast lanes
That douchenozzle who always cuts in the front of a long line of traffic

Grammar/spelling
When people tell me its 'peak' your interest, not 'pique.' No, you dumb cunt, its not.
Misusing these:
to/too/two
you're/your
they're /their/there
When people use words to sound intelligent (especially if they don't know what it means)

School/work
Constantly interrupting lecture to ask dumb questions. (I want to get out early. Try reading the chapters before class, dickhead)
When people try to prove the professor wrong in an effort to look smart (potentially lulz-worthy if they fail though)
When someone takes the last of the coffee and doesn't brew another pot

Random shit that pisses me off
FAKE CRYING (whether its a kid or a woman, this one really grinds my shit)
Bad (or abusive) parents
People who take their 4-year-olds to movies like Saw.
Noisy eaters
Noisy breathers
Unfounded conspiracy theories
end-of-the-world prophetic bullshit

lol, this debate always reminds me of 'The Office':
Pam-It's 'whom' when it's the object of the sentence and 'who' when it's the subject.
Toby-It was... to whomever, meaning us, the indirect object... which is the correct usage of the word.
Michael- No one asked you anything ever, so whomever's name is Toby, why don't you take a letter opener and stick it into your skull.

It should wrap around when it gets too long.

That's what she said.

The most annoying ones for me are:

People who chew with their mouth open.
Having sticky hands or fingers.
People who walk slowly in front of you.
People who don't know where they're going when they drive (BUY A F*CKING GPS).
I also hate when people speak very loudly into their cell phones.

You know what really grinds my gears? lol

Competative talkers. The kind of people that ALWAYS have to give you there 2 cents. But they choose to do it while someone else has something to say, and they insist on talking over them. If the other person get's louder, they get louder.

People who don't care what someones opinion is. They are always right and won't take the time to concider anything else. I don't know what word best describes that. Prejudice ? Bias ?

Stuck up people.

Probleem is, there area a lot of these types of people in Vancouver. I'm tired of them haha.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. Just didn't want to start mention shit you guys have already mentioned.
