In addition to The Complete Guide to Counter-Strike: Source, I'll be releasing some YouTube videos teaching you certain strategies about the stock maps, and other advanced firing/defensive techniques.

So why do you need me?
I need you to give me your ideas.

"When do I ...."

I need you to ask questions about strategies, techniques and other stuff here in this thread, and if your question is selected, a video will be made with your question in it, and you'll get the credit on the video. Those who want to participate in being "dummy players" in the server will also get credit.

I would say good things would be how to "snipe" with the AK. I believe in the guide you said something about "pip"...
Also, where to plant on stock maps to have an advantage (such as planting for long A in D2).

While moving, the first deagle bullet you fire will go straight, the rest won't. So the key to 1 deags is aiming :)

The best advice I ever got about aim was: "aim for the head". Now that may seem like DERP advice, but if you think about it, how often to you see the target, aim for the head, then fire? Not often. You see the target and start spraying. What really turned things around for me was that I actually stop and aim before I shoot. Eventually aiming for the head will become your natural reaction.

Also, while running around, always keep your crosshairs at head level. Your natural reaction is to have them pointing towards the beltline when you're running. You'd be surprised how often players just run into headshots and it had nothing to do with aim.

And if you really want a challenge, join an iceworld server and use only pistols. The only way you're going to kill anyone is if you headshot them before they spray you down.

I've hit someone 9 times with a glock at distance and not killed them. But 2 shots to the head = lolumad?

I believe a smoke to the head in source does 2 damage. I don't play source so I could be wrong.

How to aim and fire correctly with the main rifles (m4/AK) and all pistols

-I know there are different ways to use your crosshair for different weapons and the direction your strafing. A definitive guide to go back and reference would be great.

How to flash (and nade) properly. This one is more for nubs but I'm sure I could learn a few things also.

if you can get a group of guys that actually understand the rolling T, and the serpentine or more advanced millipede methods for room clearing and MOUT. then you will become much more solid in your organization of attacks, and have much less chances of teamkills/hits. communication will improve, and you will know when to call frag out or banger out, BEFORE you throw.


as for aiming techniques, in real steel shooting, when looking through your co-witness at your front sight post, you will see the pin ( AR15's). use the top of the pin like a stick and use the targets head like a lolliepop. this technique is called "lolliepopping". when you do this your POA point of aim is about 2 inches higher then your POI point of impact. so if you want to shoot someone in the face you aim for the top of the head, if you want a core body shot, then you lolliepop the target and pull the trigger.

the head is a 8% target, and very hard to hit, in real life. this is a F*CKING video game, so i imagine that the hit box is smaller then the hit box for th etorso or core body shot.

that is why i use my crosshair scale at about 3000, and use the top of the cross hairrs to lollipop everyone, regardless of weapon.

that is a base for aiming, getting into useing scoped weapons and other shit, well my real world shooting advice does not apply to a game where you can take a 12 lbs. fully loaded ACIS .308/.388 lapua, jump up off the ground with both feet and FIRE THE weapon and land on both feet catlike pulling off headshots like its raining bullets.

i hate this games ballistics. every gun fires the same regardless of caliber. so fire away.
