Re: THE SONG IS DONE!
Very Nice Acid very 80s sounding kinda reminds me of Judas Priest. What kind of equipment did you use?

Re: THE SONG IS DONE!
I hate to tell you this man... but the whole style of that song was purposely done to imitate iron maiden.
That's why the song is called From The Dead... It was an attempt to bring back the 80's style metal like Iron Maiden.
This is why the chord progression and even the lead dubs are very similar. I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, but it seems you came to the thread to brag about yourself more than anything... since that was what most of your post contained. If it helps you sleep at night, only one other song uses a progression similar to that. It uses the same three chords, however, the setting in that song is not based on a ride, just as a background riff.
It doesn't sound anything like Iron Maiden... at all. Neither do any of my other songs.
We had to learn what we know from other people first before we could stand on our own... I'll get to work on The Endless Battle, and let you hear what it sounds like... then I'll do Mind Under Matter, and you'll change your mind about my creativity. It takes creativity to take one's work, and make it your own too, ya' know?

Right now, I'm using shitty equipment.
All I have is an Ibanez Gio. That's my equipment.
I'm using Guitar Rig 4 to mix and do everything (cabs, speakers, presets, etc.)

Re: THE SONG IS DONE!
Oh ya with every edit I make there is always credit to the songs artist. It's one thing that you can't go eithout these days. You'll have full credit. It won't be for a few months until I will be using it because I need to find a job and get $250 for a new frame(wich is my discounted price believe it or not. The frame would normally run you $400+.) But how would I go about getting the file? If you could may you please send it to my e-mail ? It is: sk8rbiker@hotmail.com
Thank you acid! I have been looking for something like this for some time, and downloaded about 500 songs while searching with no luck. Once I actually get all the footage and finish the edit I will either send it to you or post it in the forums. I know most people find no interest in BMX, but it is a sport and a community that people totaly under estimate and degrade because of certain dumbfucks that give the industry a bad name. Also people don't understand that the easier looking things are a lot more technical than the crazy flips and such. So people like me who have been hurt so bad that they can no longer do the crazy tricks and have to stick to smaller technical tricks don't get much credit.
Look for the latest entry under the time for From The Dead, and that'll be it!
I would advise that you wait a day or so, though... because Omega should be done with the solo and mixing it into the song by now... don't know if you want it or not... but.. it might be worth it!
you should have had him paypal you some $$$ before you gave him the file haha

might want to change your song.
i have been a musician since the age of 12. played guitar and bass. graduated from musicians institute in hollywood, in 86-87 with a AA in the arts ( all credits are non transferable, thanks MI). john fusciante was my locker partner, and so was brian bell. i played in LA for over 5 years from 88 to 93. best show ever was a rock for choice show at the palladium. the bill was my band hit 36, and then it was L7, the Lunachicks, and fugazi. we packed the house with 1500 heads, i got all the beer i could drink free, $300, and a blowjob from the bass player of lunachicks so she could use my bass amp ( it was the best in the house) hers was broken.
your progression is very standard open E ride, D to E, then D to C, that formula was laid waste by iron maiden in the 80's man, cmon.
while i appreciate your enthusiasim, the musician in me has to call you on the creativity issue.
get my new set-up this weekend if you need a drum line. us drummers are a dime a dozen now a days it seems lol.
btw Ka-bar, tell the musician inside of you to either slit his wrist or shut his F*CKING all-knowing mouth in the future. just because you graduated from a school and got a blowjob from a washed up garage band bassist dont mean you are qualified to give your opinion. at most it means you can give advice on how to be an intern roady and eat nachos while you watch others around you achieve thier dreams while you are left behind to wallow in your own talentless swill.
so next time your musician desides to open his mouth el nacho-nigre' you might want to consider shoving all your failed aspirations into it before you make yourself look stupid again.

I want to murder you. Or cause you to die somehow in a fire and then sprinkle cocaine all over your body and then eat you. That's the only way you'll taste good - Dr. Malicious
the nigga is right. The songs do sound similar, not completely, but they do. You're a retard for not thinking that.
One of Acid's biggest influences was of course Iron Maiden, which is why the songs to sound similar....buttf*cking retards.
Ka-Bar was just offering constructive criticism.
Shut the F*CK up and GTFO if you can't offer any legit information regarding the issue.
Both songs do pretty much rock.

Sorry for the delay, guys. I'm trying to work as hard as I can on the lead parts. The hard part is actually thinking of good licks to put in... and I'm also trying to put alot of guitar harmonies in there. So be patient and the end result will be a much more professional sounding song!

Re: THE SONG IS DONE!
You guys are all assholes at heart...And I love every bit of it :) Keep up the good work guys.
And Acid i'll wait to see the outcome of the updated song. It's not like I need it this minute. Although one of my friends randomly handed me a large lump of cash to get myself through for a month or 2 so i will have my frame in a week or 2. Filming wont be done until I complete my list of goals. Ya that's right I made a list! I also know exactly howw I will edit the part. Just the fine tuning I don't know of yet. Just like music biking can be very coordinated. So hopefully the end result is as good as your new song Acid. Good work man!
