Dirk, I am jelous of YOU. I would kill to live in a forest (used to but I'm downtown Montreal now). That sucks about the sun light though..I give my plants 18 hours of "sun" per day!



Get to it man! If you plan on growing all indoor, I would recommend going with a hydroponic system if you can afford it. It's less cleanup/mess since there is no soil, it can grow much quicker and bigger (if you have the space to do so), and it's easier to regulate the pH since you have no soil screwing with things. If you're interested I can tell you more about it or you can find tons of guides on the internet.

For my plants I use regular potting soil with the little white things in it (can't remember what they're called). I try to find something that is neutral pH-wise because that can really screw up your plants. I don't use any nutrients in the beginning stages of the grow because they are too strong. I slowly start adding some nutrients to the water once it gets to be about 8 inches high. I recommend diluting it in lots of water at first and then slowly add more and more. When you get to the final stages of flowering however (last week before harvesting), it's a good idea to use only water with no nutrients at all, to ensure a nicer tasting bud.

Don't forget the guano, I've got prolly $900 worth of soil additives and nutrients.

You should honestly post a picture of some fully harvested, trimmed and cured buds. This makes me interested to see how good it gets by the end of the process. One of my friends is a caregiver and has the best shit I have ever seen. Like you said, it is more of just a hobby. We just have a hobby and enjoy seeing and testing the outcome product. He has a plant he calls his kill plant. It's a mix between God weed and Panama Red. HE does not sell eny of it, but if I could get a hold of some i'm sure you'de enjoy how beautiful it turns out in the end! You will never see anything like it. These types of bud on there own are 2 of the best types you can get your hands on anywhere. They have both won awards for best of the year in Hightimes(not my friends, just God Weed and Panama Red in general.) So the outcome of a mixture of the 2 definately does not take more than one rip for ANY avid smoker to be done.

Then 2 rips is what I'll take.

I'll have some pics in a couple months of mine and my friends 10 light setup...four 500watts and six 1000watt lights...no hydroponics though. I like my lights and nutrients...

Oh ya definately. I'm talkin about the average avid smoker LOL. Smoke a legitament blunt between 2 people(about a gram and a half) and you'll be feelin good the rest of the day. It's more of an upper high so you don't get shut down. Wich is why I liked it so much. I haven't smoked in a few weeks. Since i've had strep throat for just under 3 weeks I have been using that to help me stop and get a job. But once i'm back to workin, i'll be back at it again. I lost my job because of the economy and then ended up getting sued by a bill collector(because of $150,000 worth of hospital bills from a bmx wreck last march, thanks to some cherities I only ended up with a $9,000 bill but got sued for it.) , so i'm on a mission.

Yeah, just trying to figure out how to hang all ten. I could build a frame around the room with beams going from one side to the other...or just drill the screws and chains on the lights into the concrete.

How big is your room? If there's concrete I imagine it might be dusty, so either scrub that shit like a madman or I would recommend making a frame, that way it's a closed environment..are you going to be running a vegetative and flowering room? Or just have it all going at once? I know a guy who has a grow room in his basement that he separated into the 2 rooms and he puts out around 3 pounds every 2 months.

It's 20x15 with 2 feet thick of concrete all around under ground.
