Hmm, not sure if anyones posted this but it looks like the new steam ui has hit open beta.

Looks really refreshing to tell you the truth, I can see some zune software influence though in the use of texts and the divisions (games, store,etc.)

just opted in, it's pretty slick. i appreciate good typography and am glad as F*CK that the BADASS GAMING FONT trend is dying a much needed death.

I noticed an issue with the new UI under Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate.

No words inside the community, or popping up when I enter a game.

I still like the UI, the server's tab works great and isn't all buggy and shit like the previous one, but no words sucks.

Yea it's awesome and I sometimes get the no word shit. It doesn't detect my Neotokyo either. I'm pissed at that since I can't play it now and it doesn't really have it's own .exe. Oh well. i wantz teh 5 fre steem gamez pl0x

I get the same thing on 7 home premium (64 bit as well). Kinda sucks ass. Other than that everything else works great.

May be a language pack or font missing I suppose, but I can't see why that would only affect Windows 7, since it probably would have the most fonts installed by default.
