 my mom asked me how they tourney went lol I told her my team got ricrolled 16-6, and she said to me,
"Well can you practice and do better next time" lol, she thought I should play more because it was a "social" thing lol

It's good to see that our community events does affect people outside of n00bfest positively on a serious note. It's not an "every-day thing" to hear a parent getting involved in FPS scrimmages or tournaments. It's usually soccer and other sports. It's nice to see how events like this can get people involved in and outside of the community.

My mom still thinks video gaming is antisocial behavior, even though playing competitive games online are why I got my first job out of college (webmaster for a company with 2 of my teammates). Without games I'd probably be in grad-school-limbo trying to decide whether I wanted molecular biology PHD over a environ PHD, both of which I'd never find a job in any reasonable amount of time.
