I actually prefer 2142 to 2, seeing as for some reason I suck at 2 but am pretty damned good at 2142.

So easy to rack up points as the assault class, just run around reviving people once you get the defibrillator and kill the occasional asshole who tries to ruin your day.

Recon is fun too, you can either play it as a sniper or Spec Ops with active camo and the lambert carbine. Plus you can take out vehicles with RDX packs, quite satisfying to blow up a walker that never saw you comming.


As far as the empty maps thing goes, play on infantry only servers, the objectives are linear so they definitely won't feel as empty. As far as vehicle maps go, last time I played was on Highway Tampa during a titan game, definately didn't feel empty there, tanks and walkers F*CKING everywhere.

Just finished the SP on this and it was enjoyable but short just like MW2... Can't wait for release day for some good ole MP.

I'm getting this shit tomorrow, going to get retail version don't know if that'll make a difference in server selection abilities.

gman said we could add virtually any game server to our box, but he also recently said he didn't want to add anymore servers. so you guys will have to really play that shit to justify adding the server i think.

yeah but anyway battlefield's servers were always run by the biggest communities, i dont remember playing on unknown "clan" servers but on communities owning lots of servers on lots of games, + i dont think a lot of n00bs will be playing bad company 2... btw i F*CKING love the WWII mission, holy F*CK i love it.

I thought you had to rent out the servers from EA's provider. I didn't they handed out the server files like that for this game, so we wouldn't be able to host a BC2 server on the n00b box.

I could be wrong but I'm about 90% sure that's how it works.
