 Need Advice!
What's up nigs?
Alright so since I'm going to be DJ'ing and since I'm tired of typing in game, I was planning on buying a decent headset/mic setup. I was looking at spending between 50-100 on something nice, but I was wondering what you all thought about it? Has anyone bought something in that price range recently?
I'm sure there are other threads about this but:
1. I'm a lazy motherfucker today. 2. I want to know what the new shit is.
Thanks for the help bitches! You all are gonna be hearing my sweet little voice soon enough!

 Re: Need Advice!
I've tried just about everything, from really cheap to really expensive. So far I'm tickled with the Plantronics GameCom http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KU ... F2D69J542Z . When I am shopping for a gaming headset, I look for the following in the following order: 1) Something that can stand up to some abuse. Especially the microphone/boom, and the cord itself. 2) Comfort. If something gives me a migraine because it compresses my glasses against my head just right, it's not a very good 3) Sound quality / mic quality. A LOT of the cheapy headsets skimp here, and you can hear the difference easily. The GameCom has already stood up to several tests that my headsets typically fail on. I have a cat. My cat plays with cords. So far the cord is intact. I bought mine a couple months ago, for like $60 at best buy.

 Re: Need Advice!
Oh, and avoid the headsets with a detachable mic. At the very least, the connector is another point of failure you don't want on a vital piece of gaming hardware.

 Re: Need Advice!
As dirk said Plantronics my head set is from them also. I forget what it's called but it's there sports style one were it goes behind your head not on top. But anyways it was like 40 bucks at best buy so.

It was probably one of the worst $209 investments I've ever made. I find it is extremely hard to play video games with a giant dick in your ass.

If you're looking to go a little over $100 I'm pretty sure the logitech g35 is still like 110bucks on amazon. I have it and it's awesome. Also the mic is pretty damn good.

 Re: Need Advice!
Thanks for all your help guys. I'm going to check out all the shit you guys said. I saw these razer charcharias (something like that) in a PC shop, I was wondering if anyone has tried these? They are 91$ and look really comfortable.

I bought these for both me and my gf recently. I have sound card issues (mic wont' work) so the USB was perfect for me. I do get a 40% discount from Logitech though :D

Yup, my plantronics has a "hide away" boom mic. Really nice little design.

I have these Zalman headphones right now that I payed 60$ for. The sound is great for the price but the mic is a detachable clip thing that you would put on your shirt collar. The sound is shit I have to put my mouth right up to it. Anyways..everyone is liking Plantronics so I'm going to see who caries them around here and I will go check them out.
