dont get a plasma plain and simple they over heat and die easy they only last maybe 2 years thats why every thing went digital instead of plasma

another year or two and they will start selling the Laser TVs. They will rule our worlds. I think it was Mitsubishi that displayed one at CES in '08. They are supposed to take over where Plasmas failed. Lasers will mean higher resolution, almost infinite colors and unbelievable contrast ratios. They are also supposed to end up being cheaper to produce. Can't wait.

Oh ya I know the difference in quality between plasma's and since I will be using the T.V. for mostly programs and movies so the burn in factor is gone. The newer LG's have also corrected for that problem. The only thing is the price difference between 50' and 60' and if it was going to be a waste of money to go 60' if I was not getting the full effect cause I'm too close. I did some comparison and I like the warmer image of the plasma over the LCD and since the t.v. will be in low lite basement I keep getting told plasma would do better. I now just have to wait for the bonous and I'll see what I can afford.
