I'm thinking Officer Doofy's server went down the first time around 2001-2002. That's when the 1st Southern Alabama n00bfest server was birthed in my home. That was the old 7 player 24/7 Iceworld, hosted on an AMD K6/2 - 450mhz. The box was spray painted safety orange and ran like a champ, but my home interwebz couldn't run more than 7 players without mad lag.

I know we played in that server for a long time before WON Auth because mandatory, whenever that was.

LOL who can forget the admin_stack command fun we used to have.. admin_execclient and admin_slap when someone was camping the corner of the roof on assault with 30hp. Now everyone cries when they get slapped around a bit. =(

I think your timing is way off. I think it was 03 or 04 when Doofy closed his server. While in high school he would bring the server over to my house and we would host the server on my DSL and then all LAN into it. I miss Used Rubber and his HOMOSEXUAL friend Cuis. That WhtTrsh page hasn't even been updated since 2002, and by 2004 I was already moved to Louisiana. The 7 player Southern Alabama server started LONG before that.

I found this wonderful server in Oct. 04 when I finally upgraded to CZ from 1.5. And yeah Spidey, the admin_stack command was awesome for the duelie brothers! I still have those screens on my old computer when we would alwyas stack and tk.

i remember when I first came into n00bfest in 2004. The 16 man server filled up every night with the same people like clock work. Gman nicknamed me AFRICAN AMERICAN and I've been here ever since. I remember weeks going by where at least 12-14 hours a day were spent on n00bfest servers and spurts of 36-48 hours were not uncommon. Late night 1v1 with SirDies :D I think we still hold the record for most kills against any 2 players. When are the old stats coming back?? I came so close to being number 1 but never did it. So many good memories though!!
