I went to see this movie in 3D even though I heard about what the critics were saying about the film having some kind of hidden msg in it.

I have to say that it was entertaining.

The messed up thing is though is that I like to watch fantasy Sci Fi movies to take my mind off of other things I know that are going on in RL not incorperate the two. It's kinda like a mind F*CK because I'm relaxed, and I'm thinking ok the special effects are gonna be cool and I can fall asleep if the story drags whatev.

After the movie was over and I was back at home I started to think about it a little more.

And, I kinda figure it was like Braveheart/ Aliens/ some kind of environmental awareness film/
Sci Fi corny like made for TV type stuff....with good effects.

the story really ruined the movie for me. and i had the pleasure of sitting in a theater packed with a bunch of nigs, spanish and other foreign people whos ancestors were raped of their lands or freedoms. not to spoil the movie or anything but when the colonel guy gets killed and the entire theater erupts in applause.. i wanted to take a machine gun to the place. and honestly, i didnt want to see 2 hours of glowing 3d forest and flying pu$$y's. if it would have been gunships blowing up a tree for 3 hours i would have been 100% happier.

I loved this movie, the story was really predictable but that's not really what you went there to look at was it?

It actually upsets me that I can't live in that forest. That is basically my dream home.

I got some black chick porn and fucked with the hue in photoshop a bit until it turned in to Avatar.

Go figure.

never thought i would say this, but i agree with kitten here, it looks like a preachy peice of shit with alot of flashing lights.

I mean obviously if you go in thinking you're gonna be preached to then you're going to spend the entire movie trying to pick out the parts that are doing the preaching. At that point it's boring as shit. It's like reading a book in grade school english, you go so far between the lines that you're not reading the book any longer.

I never really saw any commercials for it so I can't say anything about the commercials, but AFRICAN AMERICANS are easily pleased so I wouldn't listen to them anyways.

If you think "you shouldn't destroy that land because a lot of different living things depend on it" is preachy, then I guess it is preachy.

I thought it was a good movie. I don't really ever care much for trailers.

I think you guys are reading way to much into the movie. Take it for what it's worth, a movie. If you're worried about something pushing some sort of view, then I suggest you live under a rock because the news (Fox? Lol), other movies (WALL-E, children s movie), even this website are all guilty of promoting their own views on certain topics.

For me, I thought the movie was good, excellent special effects, the story was predictable (but, what story is truly original these days?) but still good. Overall I would watch it again, I even though about going to watch it in IMAX again because although the Real-D 3D was cool, somethings were slightly of out focus because the glasses. I'm sure in full HD this movie would be stunning, I can't wait for it on BluRay.

I think it's funny that you guys think all this movie is about is pushing some agenda. It's people like you that make it about the agenda, and make it into a huge deal. And you are making judgments without actually seeing the movie...which is silly.

Hey he has the right to bash the movie before seeingit, we all do. I bash all Wynona Ryder films and don't need to see them to know they are shit and not worth the film there printed on. I even bashed the twighlight piles of turds, I downloaded them out of morbid curiosity and low and behold "Worst Acting Ever".

I knew of the Anti-War and Enviromentalist over tones before I saw it, James Cameron didn't hide it and spoke very publically about what he did. I saw it because James Cameron likes to push visual boundries and he really did it with Avatar.

dude i dont go to the movies to see shit about real life.. i go to movies to escape from real life. that being said, i will agree that there are some films that do preach, that were awesome. but in those cases i knew what was coming.

i went to avatar expecting to see some bad ass action in 3d. blue aliens vs marines on another world. and all i got was F*CKING dances with wolves in the year 2105. yeah i was F*CKING disappointed.
