Post What mouse should I get for Xmas?
After Ginzu's mouse topic I heard that the Intellimouse was amazing somewhere along the line. I was thinking of possibly getting 2. I was wondering which mouse was it that you guys used or if I should get a different mouse altogether that feels even more like an extension of my hand than the intellimouse would. These are the ones I was looking at.

I had a laser version of the 3.0 at one time and loved it, untill I got a new one. I'm guessing the laser version blew because when I got a new one, I instantly got better and I even went from making red rock from about 1/20 to 4/5.

There is another pretty recent mouse thread where I listed almost every mouse used for cs, so if you are looking to see what else is out there, try to find that thread and look at a few of those.

Anything from Razer. I bought the Salmosa for $13.37 on Woot! and I'm very very impressed. The cheap Intellimouses from Microsoft are great for the money, but why get a cheap Microsoft mouse when you can get a cheap Razer?

You bought it for le.et. That's funny.

The Ideazon, Death Adder, and one Razer mouse i was looking at back then (or even the Salmosa) are on top. Feeling comfortable and especially like an extension of my hand are what counts. I'll look these over, and get the one that doesn't grenade my wallet so I can buy other shit for myself and other people this season lol.

I'm kind of illiterate when it comes to mouse specs, but I just read the specs on the Death Adder, and I got a boner.

Lol, yeah I cracked up when I saw the price. Funny how Woot! advertises gaming mice.

Well the salmosa has the same specs as the deathadder minus the convenient macro buttons. Both are 1800dpi and have the same polling features (from what I remember). The only differences are that the salmosa lacks any fancy lighting and the extra buttons. If you're cool with left/right mouse buttons, a scroll wheel and the scroll wheel button, you're cool with the Salmosa. If you want more buttons, check out the other Razer mice.

One thing I CAN say, do not get a lachesis razer, get a death adder if you want to go the razer route. The Lachesis has too many buttons on the right hand side that are really gay. If you press your fingers together on the lachesis, while you fire, you'll trigger the button that resets the mouse. Just don't do it.

I have no experience with microsoft mice, can't help ya there.

Post Re: What mouse should I get for Xmas?
The one big problem I had with the Death Adder was that the mouse buttons are pretty sensitive. I got tired of spraying with the M4 and accidentally stopping to put on my silencer mid-spray because I accidentally right clicked. I unbound the mouse2 button and changed the mouse4 or 5 button (the one where my thumb sits on the left-hand side) to be my mouse2 button, and I've found it's made me about 2-3x faster at awping. The thumb+index-finger combo is just much more effective for me... so it ended up being a good thing, I guess.
