If you're looking for a cheaper mouse than the g5, the mx518 is also pretty baller.

I went from a G5 to a G9x and it is alright but I wish it was a tad longer like the g5 but it fits with width of my hand greatly.

Since i know you know your shit, what kind of mouse would you recommend me that is NOT a razer or anything to game with, i had a razer HABU, but those fuckheads at Msoft had the design all fucked up, and it has some F*CKING kind of malfunction on the joint usb cable and now im stuck with a shitty mouse and i cant pwn the way i used to, i even suck in scrims :(, i need a new mouse and its pretty quite urgent since im going to austin in 2 days, si any protips??

You don't need to go to a big name overpriced name like Razer or SteelSeries for a mouse. There are people that have been using the same mouse for years and years and when they break the only way to get a new one is eBay. I wouldn't go with a laser mouse unless it is SteelSeries because of what they've done so far in terms of just being ahead of the game. Just hunt up those names and find something to fit how you hold your mouse and what size mouse you want. I have a F*CKING huge hand so I go with a big ass mouse. Some people like smaller mice. Some people like mice with grooves, tall backs, multiple dpi/cpi settings, and colors(LoL). It's not so much me not liking Razer because of their products, they just play up style in everything and I see them as the Honda Civic with an exhaust and intake with a big ass spoiler, lime green paint, and orange rims. The majority of SteelSeries products are just plain components with the performance behind them. Both are going to cost more than the competition, a little because of their name, but the people who like their products will back them and argue for days on how they are better.

Only thing I can suggest is figure out what you want in a mouse and pick the one above that best fits that. Most everything you'll find is all about preference, just like ingame of CS, TF2, or any other game for that matter outside of the necessary commands.
