Wow. Although I hate the gameplay compared to cs:s or even quake2, it's a great game to have for when you want to F*CK around with friends who aren't serious enough for CS. Everyone likes TF:2 at some point-- worth way more than $2.49

Also, the new server has all the necessary files to run a TF2 server. I can literally set one up in about 10 minutes.

I've had it for a long ass time. never played it. Any good?

What I love most about TF2 is that I'm not stuck playing 1 game. They have the standard competition maps, payload, arena, prop hide n seek, and my current favorite dodgeball.

I missed that by 35 F*CKING minutes, F*CK me

My payment screen got stuck multiple times. Their server was getting hammered there at the end. I tried for about 10 minutes to buy it, and ended up missing the F*CKING sale because their servers suck.

Sucked it up and spent $20 on it anyway.

Here's an idea:

New TF2 updates come out today. Whenever new updates come out (with new hats), lots of people play in an attempt to get new stuff. Part of the new update is if you collect 20 pumpkins from fallen players on the KOTH_harvest map, you get a new hat. I'm told it's only for the next couple days. Lots of players will really want to get that hat, myself included. SO...

24/7 n00bfest KOTH_harvest for the next couple days? It would also be a good way to test the servers with live players. And I'm sure the server will be packed. Just an idea.

JFOBP, that's a great idea. There are never enough servers on what you need when the new update comes out and they are all packed to the max for hours and hours until you can see the sun outside again. I remember waiting like 2-3 hours after putting auto-join on when one of the updates came out.

Also, the update is supposed to go live sometime today.

I changed my mind about the HOTH_harvest server. Turns out the achievements were really easy to get. Only took Spyda and I about an hour and a half to knock them all out.

24/7 pipeline/goldrush/badwater w/ RTV would suffice :D

ive had it for a while, but i almost never play. its a really fun game tho, and if the community launces a tf2 server, i just might start playing again.

But either way if you ran a harvest_event server until after tom, it'll draw in a huge crowd and get things rolling quickly.

I have most achievements for all classes that actually have them. TF2 took me away from CS:S, it's my bread and butter :)

I played TFC for years so it was inevitable that the day that TF2 came out, I would only play CS:S when TF2 bored me.

If you do decide to put up a TF2 server, you should let me give you some suggestions...configs, mods, cvars etc...

Yeah we should totally get a new TF2 server.
