 Re: Built another computer
No, it means i could, but i don't want it to go over 75*C at full load. I take it you don't have much experience overclocking, certainly not an i7 at least. This board should hit ~220 bclk which would put the limit for this chip at ~4600. Given my current voltage that would be attainable, but not practical. With some sort of active cooling it would work fine though.

Let me phrase this simply so you can understand it: Yes, it can go higher.

 Re: Built another computer
Let me phrase this simply so your dumb ass can understand it: if you place an artificial cap on something, it can't go any higher.

I believe what AngryKitten is getting at is... it can't go any higher.

 Re: Built another computer
If you're having problems going higher, you might want to try a new power supply. Some of the new power supplies have colored LEDs that add 100 milliampere-volts to almost any circuit -- try to find blue or red ones, I hear they're faster than green -- and definitely stay away from the blacklight ones.

 Re: Built another computer
I heard if you put LED fans in your pc, you get +15hp in CS, and +12 armor.

True story. Use only the finest red and blue LEDs. You want to be sure to stay away from any regular LEDs.

 Re: Built another computer
No, a 2*120 is not enough for an i7--and esp. not with a 295 in the loop. It would need at least a 4*120, and even then it would only cool marginally better than a good heatsink and fan. As i said earlier--it would need active cooling. A boreas would be my first choice since i've already used one before.

Cool.
This might be interesting when you actually do something to remove the cap you put on it, but even then it belongs on Toms Hardware or some other haven for tech nerds since no one here cares that you can spend your parents money.

Except that it is my money, and I build many of them for other people. Further than that, the 920 is clocked at 2.66 stock. It seems as if at least some people enjoyed the pictures though, and you didn't have to come and post in this thread.

If not, what the hell are you doing here? You seem to love showing off your shiny shit. If I haven't owned your face and called you a HOMOSEXUAL in the server, what the F*CK are you doing here?

I don't have CS on this computer because i haven't played it in a long time, but i figured other gamers would enjoy seeing a gaming pc build. A few people did enjoy the pictures so i don't see the problem. I'm not sure i understand why several people feel the need to be insulting though.

We feel the need to be insulting because you suck.
Try playing in our servers some time. I hear we like that.
