Oh, this is my first time doing water cooling. Looks simple enough and watched a video.
But anything tricky I should look out for?

Not really, just triple check your hoses, make sure nothing leaks, and don't over do it on the thermal paste.

Awesome build though.

Why Thank Ya.
Been saving for awhile and waiting for this new Intel processor.
Should be quite the improvement over my Phenom ii x4 955.

Less maintenance on the air cooled over water cooled but it's just a preference and see if there is a comparable Evga card over PNY, Evga are better. Also triple check your hoses cause one bad leak like my buddy, and it can wreck your shit!

I have that same CPU cooler. Installed it almost 2 and a half years ago and haven't had to do anything since (except clean the fans). Good looking build though!

Looks good, have fun building it. Saving for...braces (it'll be worth it too) but I think i'm try to upgrade with the 4790k as well since its not a huge upgrade for any other cpus (ivy/haswell) but i'm coming from a Core 2 Quad so it should be amazing. Gotta grab a new SSD (dat Samsung 840 Pro in 256gb for OS/Apps) in the future as well...my little 64gb finally died out of warranty last week QQ. Will be about a $1k budget for the CPU/MB/RAM/SSD and random peripherals like an anti-static mat. i'll have to stick with my GTX 570 for like 5 more years GPUs be damn pricey. Just waiting for the school to give me my residual check which should be within 2 weeks into July.

Guess I'm using that mobo too, looks great for single GPU use, was gonna splurge on the ASUS Sabertooth Z97 Mark 1 but at less than half the price its hard not to say...ok :D Also, is there a great difference between the 780 and 780ti? I'm planning ahead for The Division which hopefully comes out cleanly next year. Working on getting PC Pro/Comptia A+ over current summer break (online course and no more BSOD ftw) which should help get a decent job before I hit Network+/Security+.

Yep Wall of mini text

There is a difference between the 780 and 780ti. But it just wasnt large enough for me to drop the extra $200 or so.
But yeah, the 4790k looks pretty damn nice. The only thing was making sure the motherboard was an z97.
Also Braces are deff. Worth :D

I used this for just basic info before diving into the research.
