Post Looking for some good healthy recipes.
Strange and I have been eating healthy for the last two months and it's been going pretty awesomely. Chronic posted that he had a good oatmeal recipe on Facebook, soi that prompted me to post this. I've found a lot of good recipes online, but I was hoping I could get some good recipes from y'all here, too. I know some of you are good cooks or enjoy cooking, so I figured I'd ask. The only food thing that Strange won't eat is fish, so aside from that we're open to almost anything as long as it's pretty healthy.

Edit: Strange doesn't eat ranch or salad dressings either. Forgot.

Get 1 cup of Hellmans Low Fat dressing, throw that in a bowl. Add 1 cup of Plain Non Fat Yogurt. Slap in 2-3 TBS (according to your taste) of Ranch Dressing Powder Mix. Whisk it all together then add a little water till you get it to the consistency you want, I usually use about a cup. Stick it in the fridge for at least an hour to let it cool. The longer you leave it in the fridge, the more ranch flavor you're going to get. I can't remember the exact calorie count on this, but it's around 25 calories or so per tablespoon versus around 150 for the real ranch. BOOM!

Get an avocado and smash it all to hell. Add about a tablespoon of garlic powder, BOOM. Dip.

Coach really likes dip. Lawl. I mean like dinner recipes. Or lunch recipes. I've been on pinterest looking and some of them shits don't turn out good and it just pisses me off. Which is partly why I came on here to ask. If you've MADE something and you know it's good, link me to the recipe.

The best place I've found for finding great recipes online is at the link to the left <------

Everyone that's been there loves it, especially the women.

Have you ever tried making hummus its very healthy. All you will need is garbonzo beans, tahini or you can substitute peanut butter and olive oil garlic fresh if you have it but garlic powder will work. First soak the beans overnight change the water every couple of hours then cook the beans until they are tender and almost falling apart now put the beans in a food processor with a 1 tablespoon of tahini or peanut butter more if you like then put 4 to 6 chopped cloves of garlic or garlic powder in while the food processor is on then drizzle the olive oil in the mixture until the hummus is the texture you want. Let the hummus cool in the fridge for a couple of hours then you can use the hummus as a dip with pita bread or you can put it on eggs, raw veggies hummus is very good for you it can keep for about 2 to 3 weeks in the fridge.

Post Re: Looking for some good healthy recipes.
Went into a vegetarian diet this winter just so I get used to eat something else than meat all the time. Turned out I learned a shit ton of good, easy and quick recipes. Most of them are on a dude's blog and I tell you, everything in there is really F*CKING good (except for the burgers, I can't eat anything else in my burgers than meat).

The vegan stoner. He includes a lot of textured vegetable protein. You can buy that pretty much in every vegetarian shops or healthy grocery stores. It's a pretty damn good thing to add in a lot of recipes even those that include meat, because TVP is better absorbed than meat protein and contains more nutrients.

If you want a good recipe to just put a lot of left-over cans or beans in it, I suggest you go for a hobo stew and add lots of rice in it. It's super healthy and done from opening the first can to eating it in 20min. and it gives you a pretty huge portion that can be frozen or kept in the fridge for lunches. I love it and I always make myself a big bowl every week. I always eat a bowl before kayaking because it gives you a lot of energy.
