It's still miles from 1.3, but it's better than 1.6 and the wretched source abortion.
Original proportions got restored, THOSE F*CKING BARRELS DON'T MOVE ANY MORE, guns have personality. I don't know where to stop.
But the ladders are still F*CKING retarded. This.

When you set cl_pushscale to a negative value anything you shoot gets sucked into you. so if you put cl_pushscale -1 then you shoot a barrel and it tips towards you instead of away from you. set it to an absurd number like -1000 or more and it flys at you at 100000000 mph and kills on you on contact. Anything in the source engine that is interactable can be sucked into you like bodys, phones, cans, cones, computers etc etc etc. Its quite F*CKING funny to watch sometimes and its my favorite command. Edit its phys_pushscale -####. been a while since I fucked with server commands XD If Angry or an admin does this on a saturday night id love them

 Re: CS:GO opinions?
My opinion is, they're cheap bastards. Lets take 90% of our Source level designs and put them into GO. For some of the maps we'll even keep all textures so you can't tell the difference; we'll just add a few pointless obstacles, cut holes through the map and block out extended pathways...this'll ensure more action and less camp whoring.
Examples: Nuke looks pretty much EXACTLY the same, they cut out that entire region that connects lower bombsite to outside and threw in a few objects. Italy wine cellar?, uhhhh.. Dust 1 CT bombsite pushed out as well as T spawn...Train, no more hiding under trains??
OK aside from all this (oh yeah and no silencers), I still enjoy the game more than Source. Physics, movement, and recoil seems more natural (1.6ish), less randy headshots imo, and jumping on barrels (make more sense Source...). Seems like you can wall with most weapons now and doors are destructible. It doesn't feel like a solid stand-alone title advancement like Source is to 1.6. It feels more like an upgraded Source. Similar to the CZ of 1.6, so I believe Source will outlast.
Oh yeah, and Hai jew gaiz! Don't scrim with me...apparently I have a loud ass mic.

 Re: CS:GO opinions?
The game looks like Source and plays like 1.6, meaning it actually takes skill to kill people instead of running around holding Mouse 1 like in Source. Definitely worth the $15 I payed for it, and it's only getting better. The maps are classics so I don't really care that they put them in, over time they will obviously be putting more in. Valve isn't dumb and they know playing the same maps over and over will get dull so they will add more classics and also custom maps will be around too.
