Post In the market for a laptop
I'm looking at buying a lenovo thinkpad http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2074404&Sku=T70-150056

I want something that I can duel boot linux on, if anyone has had any good experiences with reliability on any laptop, please let me know. Also I was looking into Dell XPS laptops and some Acers.

Dual booting on Linux will have virtually nothing to do with what comp you run it on. Hell if you want you can boot Linux from a cd or flash drive, and you still save information to the hard drive.

I recently bought an i3 toshiba and it ran really well before it got stolen. I have also had many compaq's in my time, which seem to be really good if you are on a budget, and I received the same customer support I expected out of their parent company HP(IMO is top of the line support).

I'm not fond of dell or gateway and have had little experience with acre aside from their monitors.

STAY AWAY FROM GATEWAY or DELL!!!! most other brands seem pretty good. Acer is ok on a budget but if you want something to last awhile go with a lenovo or Hp

This is the laptop I got and it is amazing. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6834157844

I would highly recommend it to anyone if you can find it. I got mine over a year ago for $800. I would recommend looking at the dv7 series. They are excellent quality and I use mine for work everyday and have never had a problem. Nothing has broken down, plays any game you want it to cause the vid card is better than most people probably have that play css here.
