So if a teacher raped a kid, and the teacher just so happened to teach a class needed for your degree, Does the NCAA have the power to take back your degree???? because that is essentially the same logic involved. They went beyond punishing the people involved and have moved on to punishing student atheletes that had nothing to do with anything. Why people are cheering for this makes absolutely NO SENSE whatsoever. Finally.....I actually agree with badguy :p

 Re: Pen State Pedos
How in the F*CK does this involve student athletes? The guys that were there during this time have either went to to the NFL or were not good enough and joined the working force, and could give a F*CK less. This doesn't reflect bad on them, just that they played for some of the worst low life's in the world. As for the athletes there now the NCAA said they can move on with no penalties. The administration sit back back and cashed the F*CKING checks while that low life bastard got his dick sucked.
Let me get something straight right now that is a known fact. The "ADMINISTRATION" knew this shit was happening and made money while it did. They turned their head for a old bastard to get his dick sucked by a young black boy.You say it shouldn't be about the players and its not its about the money made while this could have bean dealt with. They were so F*CKING scarred that it would cost them a buck they said F*CK it let a kid get raped,we playing for a championship.I hope if their is a hell Joe is getting a dry 12 inch black dick in the ass.
Football is not a F*CKING god, grab some morals people. The janitor saw this take place and said nothing out of fear of his job.Like he couldn't find another F*CKING floor to mope.I hope he dies on the toilet. We don't need to sit back and let kids get fucked up for life so we can cash a paycheck.

On a side note: The NCAA is helping student athlete's transfer from Penn State and is granting them eligibility to play in the upcoming season.

They went beyond punishing the people involved and have moved on to punishing student atheletes that had nothing to do with anything. Why people are cheering for this makes absolutely NO SENSE whatsoever. Ya, its a shame. The NCAA had a lot of pressure on them. If they were too lenient in the eyes of some fanatics, then they would have articles written about them, people associating the NCAA with the terrible events or somehow not taking it seriously enough. So they did what they did. To many it reached too far. What they did was unprecedented, but the PSU's president consented, so it is what it is. As Imus said this morning, the fine is a joke. Its paid over 5 years and I'll be curious how much actually gets used appropriately and not eaten up by "management costs" or whatever. Thats the facts of "non-profits". The vacation of the wins is kind of weird. I'd be fine if they somehow vacated JoePa's wins or the wins of the entire coaching staff, but there it seems a lot of players are affected when they had nothing to do with it at all. Its sad that people are happy now that Bowden has the record. I think Bowden said it best himself. "I still know what I did and know what Joe did". Its pretty weird that some people take a odd sort of enjoyment about the fall out of the situation. As for civil suits, Reuters reports that the university apparently is trying to settle them all quickly, and they're willing to pay. Its laughable to think that "there will be no Penn State" after this though. Maybe no Penn State Football, but even that will rebound eventually, even if it takes something crazy like 25 years.

 Re: Pen State Pedos
Please correct me If im wrong on this:
1.This took place on SCHOOL GROUNDS in SCHOOL FACILITIES by SCHOOL FACULTY and was also known by SCHOOL FACULTY.
2. SCHOOL FACULTY knew what was happening and said nothing or covered it up inlcuding Joepa who was the head coach at the time.
3. JoePa knew 1000% what sandusky was doing and even told other faculty members when brought up to pretty much disregard it.
So all this happened at the university as well as away games with full knowledge by everyone and no one did shit. The school gets punished and everyone is butthurt? Wtf people honestly? I love reading all these comments on other sites by these fanatical zealots saying "it had nothing to do with the football program so F*CK the ncaa". Boys were raped by a faculty member while they were under the care of a faculty member sometimes in school and sport facilities. I see no problem with the punishment. Yea the NCAA may have been a bit hasty in their judgment and skipped usual procedures (90 day notice blah blah blah) but that report was pretty damning and im sure the NCAA saw that it was better than their own reports.
Please if I got anything wrong or missed something by all means correct me.

 Re: Pen State Pedos
I was just surprised about them taking back the victories. The fine like Fomenta said was pretty weak.

 Re: Pen State Pedos
I think Bobby said it best too. ''The penalties are bad, but what happened was bad,'' Bowden said after finishing an 18-hole round of golf at the picturesque Golf Club of Quincy, about 30 miles northwest of Tallahassee. ''There's not enough money to make up for what happened.''
QUINCY, Fla. (AP) -- Former Florida State coach Bobby Bowden said Monday the NCAA's unprecedented punishment of Penn State's football program ''cannot replace those boys who were molested.''

 Re: Pen State Pedos
I have no problem with the punishment at all. Sandusky hosted football camps on school grounds. Then picked children from these camps and molested them. The staff knew about it for years and years. Had things been taken care of properly all of those victories would not have been had by JoePa and Penn St. Im really surprised that they didnt suspend the football program completely for at least a year. Ask yourself this question what if you sent your child to one of those camps and they were molested by Sandusky. How much would be enough?

 Re: Pen State Pedos
After all this it makes me wonder how much deeper this goes? Has anyone heard of the state stepping in and passing judgement? I know this has little to do with the state government, but this is a state funded institution with such a scandal covering so many areas. I doubt there will ever be a time where there is no penn state, but It may have to be considered. If this were to reach into local government and include murder, embezzlement, and more something would have to be done. I know that is a far step but everyone knows that a DA went missing and was pronounced dead. I am afraid to see how far this could go....

Didnt they find his laptop destroyed in a river and he had been investigating them since 99? I may be wrong in that but I also heard twice he had enough evidence to convict but decided to wait due to something "very big" and that it may have involved paterno w/e it was.

 Re: Pen State Pedos
Yeah, The DA that went missing was involved. You have to wonder what he knew... Will we ever know? Probably not. But its definitely a scary thing to think about.
