In my opinion, ideally would be to have a larger cs server that could break off and form another when population hit certain points. but is it possible? I don't know. Another option could be to organize scrims.

Actually this is possible, I've seen it done before. You have 2 servers and whenever one is full you are redirected to the other one.

Instead of an elite fest server, and just catering towards league maps, which change every season and are down to Dust 2, Contra, Russka, Season and Nuke. Maybe add some custom maps to the rotation. One of my only problem with the main, is that the number of 1 sided maps that are on the rotation. I dont hate the fact that they are 1 sided but the fact that it takes the full 2 minutes and 40 seconds per each round. If it was advertised at the league based time of a minute and 40 seconds, id immediately jump in and never go to the main.

Also in my short tenure at noobfest I have also seen these elite servers come and go. Both times they werent really advertised and only used by a certain group of people. Now that whole group has moved on to other games, except for me, mossy, virgil and luff. The whole psa team has moved on to LOL, 1.6, D3, SNC or NS2. i only see about 5-6 ppl interested in this type of server right now. And if those group of people could bring in more ppl to say they would in fact play in an elite type of server. Maybe this should come back in consideration.

I'd still like to see an Elite server, even if it's empty most of the time. Not like it would be hurting anything to just be sitting there. But I do like having more custom maps that aren't 1 sided and a reduction in round time. Also would it be possible to drop the main server to 16 players and then make it so when it's full and you join you get redirected to a second server with same rotation and same size? That way instead of having 1 28man server you have 2 16man servers that wouldn't give much effort to joining the 2nd one.

would it be possible to have a vote at the start of the map so you could choose shottyfest, Try hard, scrim...etc. I assume it would be alot of work on fomenta and the server would suffer due to all the running addons but it would be the best of all worlds????

to stretch some words of a famous rapper, "mo' modding, mo' problems." the more scripts that are used to mod a server the higher the likelihood of the server lagging or crashing. everyone loves to request "elite" servers, but they last a week, and even the people who request it rarely play on it. the truth is there are hundreds of "elite" servers to play on (including our own tournament servers) and try hard; there are no other shottyfest servers.

OIC...well if you don't want an elite server, how about let's just draw the line in the sand: It'll be an AWP/Auto-allowed server with a slightly tweaked rotation.

i rmbr once upon a time steam updated and fucked up css for a long ass time and when the server was back up we could use awps. In one day state posted a picture of him going 74-11 thats why there cant be awps. Awps arent exactly noobish but put in the right hands in a select few who are regular in the servers. Will frustrate 90% of the other players. Tho it would make sauce von bonnerstien useless which would make me very happy. but nonetheless mossy, hooker, me and a couple others would sit mid and rip kids.

This is why it will never be allowed in the main. By an elite server we mean a server with no CS maps and former and current league maps with awps and autos allowed. I know there are people that can absolutely wreck people with the AWP but there are also people that can counter them pretty effectively too. Let us try hards have our AWPs and server too :)

Yeah, if you notice, Synt4x can out-maneuver an AWPer with a F*CKING P90, just saying. I once took down an entire team of awpers with a F*CKING USP, so meh.
