Re: Boy Scouts? I was in the scouts when I was a kid. I was a little over 9 when I got my Arrow of Light. I started pumping out badges like mad and made it through First Class, Star and Life...quit! Actually, I was checked into a hospital for kids with depression and stayed in there for 14 months. When I got out, I never completed the last few requirements to get my Eagle. It is a shame I never got that 7th patch. Oh well, youth is wasted on the young, no regrets on my part. I don't think that my life would have been different if I had attained that last patch. I don't even think I could recite the Scout Promise today without cheating, much less the Scout Laws. About the only thing I took away from it all was, "Be prepared" and that's it, heh.

Yeah...best I ever did was a sailing trip in the Florida Keys...that was F*CKING awesome! Got to swim with Stingrays (before I knew they could puncture your heart!) and all sorts of fish...best trip of my life, so far!

Re: Boy Scouts? congrats I wish I was on top of my shit and made it to eagle. I never got passed star even though I did almost all the shit to make it to eagle. The adults that oversaw our troupe were disorganized and dropped the ball on a lot of stuff. You can get a nice scholarship for college when you get to eagle as well it is definitely worth the trouble.
