Well, Right now my stuff is gettin finalized by the Colorado Eagle Scout Board, and I'll officially be an Eagle Scout in ~ 1 month :D which brings me to the question of Are any of you guys Boy scouts or Eagle Scouts?

Yeah, I was. I didn't get as far as Eagle Scouts though. Only got to Webelos, and started to prepare for the next level. But that was when I was 10 years old.

I'm sure it was a bit different, since I actually lived on the outskirts of the city or Orlando. I lived in Lake County (Sorrento) at the time. It was just woods and lakes. I learned CPR; How to Water Ski; recognize poisonous snakes, plants, insects; start a fire with sticks (Like Native Americans); make stuff out of leather (Wallet); archery; skinning and eating animals (ate plenty of grilled snake); basically survival skills. I stayed at camp Wewa for about 2 weeks and ate Lemon Heads and drank Dr. Pepper until I got sick. I attempted the high dive and split my swimming trunks on impact.

Then my parents got a divorce and I moved to Orlando with all the Afro Americans and Hispanics and I've been depressed ever since. That was 24 years ago.

Well, because I'm (well about to be) an Eagle scout, I can get into better colleges, I can get better jobs, If i was in the military, I would be a rank higher (even though I ain't goin in), Oh and to the people with a lot of money (millionaires and whatnot) Being an eagle scout isnt for homosexuals, it is for the higher class of America. You know, like presidents, Astronauts, Multiple Medal of Holor recipients, you know, leaders.

I was a long time ago. Got all the way to the rank right below Eagle scout, then the drugs kicked in and I didn't feel like playing boy scout anymore, I just wanted to smoke the dope. Do I regret it? Yeah...I kinda do. It would've gotten me a rank or two up to start with in the Military (you actually do start at an E-3 in the Navy if you're an Eagle scout, where I started at the lowest there is, E-1), so yeah...hope you do good! Don't listen to these fags, by the way! You learn a lot of good shit in the scouts....

I'm an Eagle Scout. Its a good resume builder and it does help with a few things (college, 1st job).all and all i'm glad I got it

Hey, boy scouts are cool. They teach you some pretty neat shit, so don't go knock them just because you're too much of a stereotypical HOMOSEXUAL to join them.

I never went into cubscouts/boy/eagle ect ect never got te chance kinda wish I did but sametime I'm glad I didnt

I was in Sea Cadets for 7 solid years, and I have huge experiences working on the navy ships, so I would get ahead in Navy career if I ever going in that route.

Im an eagle scout, it is a lot of work, but it is worth it in the end. :)

As always i agree with Strange,the Scouts are one of the few programs that haven't totally wussed out. As a father of a young boy, im for anything that teaches our youth to be more man like. Im looking forward to the day my son comes home from screwl and wants to join. Congratulations to you and stick with it,we need more like you.

I was actually just F*CKING around with him because it's fun.

When I was 10 I joined the Cub scouts because I didn't know anybody and in our new neighborhood, and my parents thought it would help me out. I stuck with it for a few years. Had a blast doing it to. It was fun when they took us on outdoor camp trips, and we got to do archery and do all the outdoorsy stuff. My dad never took me out because of health, so it was the one chance I had to get out into the wilderness. Or even just the little things in the beginning, like the derby car races and stuff.

Yeah, I can't wait until my son gets old enough to join. I learned a lot of good stuff (including how to create LOTS of havok during camping trips, like maybe putting firecrackers down latrines...maybe...) so I want to make sure he gets that opportunity. Of course, I'll go on all the trips too, cuz it was normally nice having my dad on those trips.

My cousin is a Eagle Scout at the moment. Preparing to finish this month. I completed Cub Scouts way back then and moved on to Boy Scouts, then I focused more in music and quit. But I learned a shit ton! good stuff. I wish I went all the way:(

I went to Tiger Cubs...apparently my mom gave in to all the rumors of how there's been lots of HOMOSEXUAL pedos as scout masters, so she pulled me out before I even progressed beyond entry level. I wish to god I'd learned those skills back then because I'd have been in a much better spot nowadays.
