This. I know high is probably quite a bit more successful than I, but I see what he means. When I smoked all day and did stupid shit, I was going nowhere. I was just making some money and blowing it. Once I decided to stop for good, it all got better. A lot better. When I smoked, I relied on people day to day. If it wasn't for them I would have been homeless. Although I might not be rich, now I rely on myself, pay my own bills, and live away from the parents. I also have goals. Now all the money that went to drugs goes to seeing far away places. I use it to go n 3 trips a year which are mostly international. It doesn't sound like a lot, but in my eyes, my life has improved dramatically. I'm a lot happier now as well, and I know that I'm young and this is just the beginning.

That may have sounded pointless, but the point is.the smoking and drinking is fun. Been there done that. But let go of the stupid shit, and move on with your life. Because the choices you make now will effect your future, and it's up to you whether it's good or bad. You can either be poor and unhappy, struggling to make it from check to check. OR,you can be successful. Which will be much more gratifying. Anyways, just quit now. You're really not having as much fun as you think you're having.
