It'd be nice if for once we keep a thread open dealing with survivalism, constitutionalism and freedom. This way, people who care about these sort of things and about the consistent march toward curtailing civil liberties for the sake of 'security theater' (we are not really more secure, just have fewer rights) can have a forum within n00bfest to educate those who are willing to read the literature.

Call it the F*CKING 'tin foil hat brigade', I don't give a shit as long as we're allowed to discuss these issues.

I agree. Not that I would take any part in it. It would just be good for the people who share a common interest to have a place to discuss it. Like Badguy said, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so they might as well have their own little place to share it.

The problem here is not what people believe or don't believe, even in the case of cyning and dabadguy. The problem is the manner in which this information or belief is communicated. Regardless of the topic, stating anything in a condescending tone and with total righteousness turns most people off, and the speaker comes across as a pompous asshole, which is why we've seen the spectacular topic sprout up in the admin forum. Believe what you will (and I agree with many, what some might call "outlandish," conspiracy theory claims), but please be civil in the manner in which you speak about and debate such topics. Otherwise, these things turn into heated flame and bitch fests that just get shut down due to hate and stupidity. Have a little tact and class, and perhaps you will increase your circle of influence and accomplish the distribution of knowledge you so desperately seek...

I agree with the "manner in which you communicate." that's what pisses me off about this stuff. I'm not saying I did any better at communicating than Badguy did, because I didn't. But it could help to ask people why they feel the way they do, rather than just jump to your conclussons and call them a disgrace. Which in turn would make it more of a discussion.
