Just something i thought of today, when CS:GO comes out will it have its own separate thing on the forums or will it be thrown together with CS:S? just a thought

We'll probably wait 4 years to move to CS:GO.

 Re: CS:GO and CS:S
I dont know. I think CSS has ran its course and will not maintain the following that 1.6 did. I imagine it being a fairly quick switchover

 Re: CS:GO and CS:S
Hmm alright thanks to everyone for the insight, imo i think it should just be packed together as Counter Strike. Splintering the forums could just bring take up space Edit: Grammar

I imagine it being a fairly quick switchover i mostly agree, I think that CSGO will have a quick switchover for some but I know people will stay in source since they were used to it for so long. But I think there are more diehard 1.6 players than in source =P

i think he's talking about the forrums, and the answer is a new forrum should and most likely will happen.

 Re: CS:GO and CS:S
Change is inevitable Rokey. Even when it ends up being worse, some times it is forced upon us. look at the historic 1.5 to 1.6, 1.6 to CZ (which I refused to touch) and CZ to CSS transition.

I think it looks promising. At first I didnt like it but after seeing streams and video (i wish i had the beta =P) it's something I became fond of

 Re: CS:GO and CS:S
Most of the CSS'ers came from the older CS versions to CSS. For them (including me), it's hard to digest the COD style gameplay. CS has/had a level of fluidity and precision that I have never felt in another FPS.
On the other hand, I guess people who are used to COD would feel at home.

 Re: CS:GO and CS:S
thats how i feel about it too. I've always have been used to a COD style of play. I started on Blackhawkdown when i was 13 and the original COD and up so I'm used to right mouse button ADS and not hip firing. Adjusting to CSS is something i still struggle with.

 Re: CS:GO and CS:S
Well the main problem i have with cod is that it took me all of 2minutes to learn how to play, it's just way to easy. When I played id get the feeling that the game was designed so everyone can get a frag. Besides respawn is lame, no glory in killing someone when u spawned behind them. S&D would be cool if the game wasn't a no skill run and gun.

dabadguy wrote: i think he's talking about the forrums, and the answer is a new forrum should and most likely will happen. that is exactly what i was asking, thanks for the answer AND from the whole conversation of cod/css, that shit got pulled outta no where, so what should CS:GO it be like CS:S, exactly in walk speed, recoil, blah blah blah but with just updated graphics or should it be CS 1.6 but with updated graphics? yay wrote: Well the main problem i have with cod is that it took me all of 2minutes to learn how to play, it's just way to easy. Exactly what i've been saying. honestly only reason people compare cod to big games like BF3 or CS is because it shares the same modern times theme, you dont see people comparing DOD:S to much nowadays. honestly, cod is just 'quake' of my gen, no other way to put it better really
