 Possible new gun
As some of you may know, the M1903 is by far my favorite rifle design ever. My favorite rifle is my Springfield 1903 Mark II; it's what I deer hunt and what I enjoy shooting most when I go to the range. My mom (inherited from her dad, USMC during WW2 and Korea) has a WW2-era Remington 1903-A3 in RETARDEDLY AMAZING condition. I recently took it to the range and fired it about 15 times or so. Imagine hitting targets -- clay pidgeons on a dirt embankment -- consistently with iron sights (for n00bs, that's no glass/zoom -- simply lining metal up to metal) at 100yds. BOOM BOOM BOOM. I was destroying them back to back. So... now I want a 1903-A3 with iron sights, because my 1903 (the sniper model) has a scope on it. I'm normally a stickler for military accuracy, but I found this little jewel on gunbroker. The stock has been cut down so it's not a full wooden stock, but I think it looks incredible... even though it isn't historically correct. I really, really like the looks of this rifle and with any luck, I'll have it in my hands some time later this week. Here it is: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =266232330

 Re: Possible new gun
I've never fired a rifle with a scope on it, I've only shot rifles with iron sights. I honestly have a fear that the scope would come back poke my eye out if I got to shoot one, like they keep telling that kid in the old christmas movie.

 Re: Possible new gun
I've bought at least 2 guns from vendors on gunbroker.com. I bought a Bushmaster XM15E2S a little over 3 years ago (that I sold to CorpseHumper back in like 2009) and I bought my Springfield P9 from a vendor on there too. Love that gun -- still have it and take it every time I go shooting.

Nice dude good for you. Hopefully when I get back on my feet I can use this site to start my collection of ww2 arms. I noticed a bunch that I wanted. Very nice rifle.

slayer wrote: nice hopefully that wasn't a trophy buck before u shot it lul , it looks like what my 308 does with my core-locs in it. It was a doe. Funny story, actually. I was deer hunting at dr_malicious' old place. I was laying down on a blanket in the grass with my rifle pointed up a trail (sort of looking uphill). Two does came out at the same time, one right behind the other. It looked like one doe with like 6 legs because the one in the back was so perfectly hidden behind the other. I didn't want to shoot two deer with one bullet and a) have more meat than I could take back in my cooler or b) risk only injuring them and letting an animal suffer. One of them kept picking up her head and looking down toward me, and the other kept on sniffing around and munching on grass and shit. The one who kept picking her head up got duffed, and the other one ran off. That's why I took a headshot on the deer, which is not something I normally do.

 Re: Possible new gun
i am the same way i dont usually go for the head shot ,but i killed 2 this season u see i use a shoty with #4 buck on saturdays because of there are so many dogs running the the deer so i took a shot at a decent mature buck and dropped a doe along with him this has happened twice not on purpose but yeah some time the stars align and crazy shit happens
