yeah, I did that exact thing today, mindless. It blackscreened on both sticks. AND I did the memtest86 thing. So RAM is fine. I honestly think its either the PSU or the mobo. What do you think? This ONLY happens during games and its a problem that started happening about 3 months ago. I have a really cheap PSU... a Xion 700w.

you dont have to get a new power supply, just get a power cord that puts out more wattage than your current one, they usually go for about 5 to 10 bucks, so that's a cheap and simple fix, assuming it IS a power supply issue.

Try checking your HDD. I had this problem a few months ago and it literally took me about 2 weeks to figure out what the hell was going on. I originally thought it was a overheating issue but I did a few test and it came down to being a bad hard drive. If that is the case you just need to buy a new one and reformat which sucks.

Whatever HDD you have just google that and it should have a test for you. For example, http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/suppor ... s/seatools, has the HDD test so you can see if it fails any of the stages.

ok, im pretty much convinced its my PSU now. I went to burn a CD and, both times I attempted it, the damn pc just turned off RIGHT when the CD actually started burning. Damn shitty PSU. Screw going to Geek Squad to get a diagnostic done.

My power supply came in yesterday. I removed the old one, replaced it with the new one and have fixed the problem. I know this because I was gaming on Human Revolution for like 2 or 3 hours. Success. I'll see you guys in-game again finally.
